Psalm 27 4
Consider using Psalm 27:4 as your "Positive Affirmation" or as your meditation mantra.
Focus on the words with pure intent to manifest a connection to the Creator to happen.
The more you repeat this as a mantra, or as a Positive Affirmation, the stronger your focus and intent will become.
Psalm 27:4 is considered one of "The Mantras" to focus on in the coming "Days of Awe" which is why I am trying to raise awareness of the benefits of this mantra - with this website.
Hebrew || English || Transliteration
- One thing I ask from the Lord, one thing I desire.
- That I might dwell in Your house all the days of my life.
- To behold the graciousness of the Lord, and to enter God's sanctuary.
Or Hebrew Transliteration ↟↟
- A'chat sh'alti meh'at Adonai**, otah avakesh.
- Shiv'ti b'Vayit*** Adonai**, kol y'mei chai'yee,
- Lachazot b'noam Adonai**, ul'vaker b'heikhalo.
** Note that you will sometimes see the word HaShem in reference to God. The word HaShem simply means "The Name" and is more commonly referred to as "Adonai" (The Lord).
Here is something interesting ↟↟
Also, the word בְּהֵיכָלֽוֹ may be broken down into several words.
This is because it also contains a hidden subliminal meaning.
The following denotes what some of these letters represent in average conversation - in many cases.
- ב "Bet" often represents "In" - in many cases
- ה "Hey" often represents HaShem - in many cases
- יכל "Yod" cHaf Lamed - I can or could
- (ל) The "Lamed" means learn (Lamed - Lomed == same root)
- (לו) The "Vav" ו at the end of a word often refers or represents the masculine - in many cases - or HaShem - in some cases
While it does not explicitly stipulate "For Him" בשבילו, it is implied as is often the case in the Talmud.
Sometimes the speaker is indicated and sometimes they are not specifically mentioned - it is merely implied that the speaker has changed.
I personally think that a better translation of the last word בְּהֵיכָלֽוֹ should be "In HaShem I can ("Lamed" == Learn) for Him (HaShem)" - especially when you combine the Lamed Vav (lo) לו it reinforces my suggestion. However, this word translated as sanctuary has another secret hidden meaning.
This is because it has the word יכל or (can) in the middle.
This now implies that even if I have a spare minute - day or night - that I can align myself "in that place" which is close to "The Creator". This is because יכל Ya'cHol means can or could.
This is different from אפשרי (possible) or אפשר (allow).
Both "possible" and "allow" imply that it may be possible, whereas "can" explicitly stipulates that it can be done.
 | • One thing I ask from the Lord, one thing I desire. • That I might dwell in Your house all the days of my life. • To behold the graciousness of the Lord, and to enter God's sanctuary. | |
What Exactly Is "Dwell"?
Dwell is an interesting word.
While it commonly means "To live within" or "At a specific place" like your home, however, it also may be used as a reference point of somewhere that you reside even on a temporary basis (like on holiday).
Reside has a looser meaning because - and for example - if you go on holidays to say "CanCun", then you may say (if you are posh) that you will be residing in CanCun for the duration of your holidays.
Otherwise most people would simply say that they will be staying in CanCun...
However...
To dwell in the House of The Lord is slightly different again.
The word "House" is used in Kabbalah to describe a "building" constructed with wisdom (which is why the letter Bet has the "dot" in the middle of the letter.
It is also why the Torah starts with the letter Bet. Because it was constructed with wisdom.

The "dot" inside the Hebrew letter "Bet" represents wisdom which is commonly referred to as a a dot because the wisdom ("Chochmah" ) is compressed (like a Zip file) and it needs specific "Understanding" in order to uszip this ("file") so that you can then acces the "knowledge".
This "Understanding" is called ("Binah" ) which comes from Chochmah.
There is actually a popular Mantra called "Chochmah Binah Daat".
In simple English, what this means is that if someone gave you construction blueprints for a building which reached UP to Heaven, you would need to study at an Architect school in order to be able to read and interpret these blueprints.
This is what the Talmud represents, the ground work of study before you get into the Kabbalistic side of learning because IF you do not understand the Talmudic basics, then you will NOT understand Kabbalah.
Plus you would also need to know all of the associated peripheral knowledge which was relevant to your construction, such as, which steel strength, which concrete (cement) ratios to use, sedimentary integrity, which wood, where the wiring goes and which type of wiring etc etc.
Higher intelligence requires higher knowledge in order to be understood and then acted on.
The Presence Of The Lord?
The word "Presence" does not mean to "merge" with The Creator - in fact, this would be almost impossible to do because your soul is at the bottom of 7 layers and you need to ascend up all of these before you are close to even thinking about "merging" with the Creator.
Just as you cannot exist on the surface of our Sun, so our sun cannot exist in the presence of The Creator. (This is a very long story which is WAY beyond the scope of this page - sorry).
Once you have this "extra" knowledge - and how to use it - then you can start to visualize yourself sitting in the "Presence" or "The Lord".
Sitting "IN" the presence of The Lord is what is meant by "Dwelling" in the house of The Lord because you are doing so with respect and honest intent.
Respect and honest intent are 2 of the "peripheral" aspects I mentioned above.
When you "Dwell" in the presence of The Lord you do not need to see a house or any other construction.
Simply close your eyes and visualize yourself surrounded by a Light which strongly pervades the space around you.
I am speaking from experience here so this is not what someone taught me or something I read.
Even in the middle of a sunny day, or with light on in your room, you will "sense" and "see" this light - even with your eyes closed.
It will shine through even the brightest sunlight.
When this happens, you will not need to second guess yourself because you will instantly know what this is.
Do NOT become arrogant or this may be the last time you have this experience.
My first experience was when I was 18 and I was young and stupid and then I had to wait many years for my second experience.
Please do not be young and stupid like I was - this is such a waste of life and amazing experiences.
This Is Joy ↟↟
This is the meaning of "Dwell in the house of The Lord" and it is what the Dalai Lama refers to as "Joy" because there is no other word to describe it in English.
2 Paths
There are 2 main paths most people take.
- is the simple path
- is the intellectual and complicated path
I am merely stating a fact here.
If you are a simple person, you are blessed in that your "Joy" may be a simple desire to be close to The Lord.
Example:
St. Francis of Assisi is known for being deeply spiritual - and was reported that he could "levitate" during prayer.
It is also suspected that he did not know the whole bible, but mainly the parts regarding the Gospel of Paul - as seen in most of his teachings.
From what I have been told, he was not overly educated - but this did not matter because of his genuine Love for The Creator. +
However...
If you are an intellectual person who thinks about everything, then your path will be much harder until you prove to yourself that something is true or false.
Focus and meditate on the words with pure intent to manifest this to happen.
It is important to note that when people use names like Adonai or HaShem or Elokim etc as a "name" of God, that these are actually "other" words or variations used - for example יי - which describes The Creator while preventing the speaker from not (accidently) using "Gods" name - in vain.
In biblical days, the name Yosi יוסי was also commonly used because it has the same Gematria as Elohim אלהים (86).
There are many such "alternate" names (attributes) for God in Hebrew and this is so that in the "10 Commandments" it says we should not use the name of God in vain so this is done to help avoid accidently speaking Gods name.
You shall not take the name of the Lord, your God, in vain, for the Lord will not hold blameless anyone who takes His name in vain.
לֹ֥א תִשָּׂ֛א אֶת-שֵֽׁם-יְהֹוָ֥ה אֱלֹהֶ֖יךָ לַשָּׁ֑וְא כִּ֣י לֹ֤א יְנַקֶּה֙ יְהֹוָ֔ה אֵ֛ת אֲשֶׁר-יִשָּׂ֥א אֶת-שְׁמ֖וֹ לַשָּֽׁוְא
Is the following statement True?
*** Below in Hebrew, the lesser word be'Veit (בְּבֵֽית) is used because it represents something which is not yet complete - and IF it was completed, it would be written b'Bayit.
Or Original Psalm 27:4 Text (with vowels)
This website contains lots of info on how to meditate, and if you look, you may find more than you can imagine.
To the few who have studied Hebrew, you will notice the wording is Me'At (Feminine form) and not Me'Atah (Masculine form). If you did notice, this info on "Dakini" may interest you.
