Hebrew Mantras are not as well known as Buddhist mantras but there are a few which are very powerful. These include single words, triplets and complex mantras. Below are some Hebrew Mantras for those who are so inclined. Many Christians like to use Hebrew words and mantras, so I have added a good collection for you here. Why Is Truth So Important? ↟↟ What is "a word"? That of which it is written ( So if you do not have Truth in your heart, then how can you ever expect to find the source of creation because any thoughts you have will be based on words which are not true?
This "mantra" is critically important to your soul's karma and it is also a bit long - however - once you know this mantra, it is quite easy. I was 6 days into one of my fasting adventures when I decided to learn Tehillim and so I started learning this on the 20 minute train ride into the city. By the time I had reached the city, I had memorized this first chapter. Whether you believe this or not, repeating this as your mantra can actually rectify your Karmic debt. While this is an incredibly simple mantra, it is also extremely powerful when combined with genuine belief, focus, intent, visualization and controlled breathing. This mantra is excellent as a way of reinforcing your faith in The Creator. This mantra needs to be said with very slow breathing, and absolutely total focus on raising your "soul" (atman आत्मन्) towards the Creator. This is actually harder than it sounds. Breathing is important with this mantra. This How To Use This is 1 method of using this mantra. Inhale for a 10 second count - repeat the "I believe" mantra mentally. Then exhale for a 10 second count and speak the mantra in a normal voice. Repeat for 30 - 60 minutes. When you are able to do this for at least 1 - 2 hours, then move up to the 15 second " What is the reason that this mantra so important? There are 2 main reasons I will discuss here. 1) It reaffirms your belief in The Creator. This has a flow down affect on you by helping to strengthen your belief in yourself. 2) One of the major hurdles (barriers) most people have to jump over when trying to be successful is the "Self-Destruct" part of their brain. Unfortunately this is a society error in every country I have been to - and in almost every case, it is caused by greed, arrogance and lack of belief in the Creator. This "Self-Destruct" is programmed into so many people - even before birth (babies can hear**) and this has a lot to do with living in a negative society and absorbing the negative "crap" people say to you since you were born. ** babies can hear what you say and even though they do not understand at that point of their lives, their subconscious mind remembers everything and when they finally do understand the language, these negative words and projections actually impact their lives. This damage can be reversed but it takes time and commitment. So be kind and loving to yourself and take the positive path. You will find that most of the successful people on this planet have been taught from childhood that they are better and more successful than others. So they grow up believing that they are better and thus they become more successful. (1+1=2) This "positive belief in themselves" becomes a reinforced projection of their life going forward. Tall Poppy Syndrome There is something called the Tall Poppy Syndrome where people who try and get ahead are "cut down" by friends, associates and family. Example At 17 I did a TM meditation course and I was having all kinds of amazing experiences, so I went to one of my teachers and asked her to (please) explain what was happening. In a heart beat she turned into a Sith Lord and started accusing me of lying and having read books and claiming experience from the book as my own. You have to remember that back in the 1970's, esoteric books were not readily available, and there was NO internet either. (hard to imagine, isn't it) In fact, to even have access to books (let alone the very limited number of available esoteric literature), I had to travel almost 3 hours by train and taxi and bus just to get to the Central Library - and repeat that journey to get back home. The LightHouse Example When I was 18 I was lucky to have an Indian Hindu (India) teacher who was very wise. I once asked him why people were so nasty to others who were trying to succeed? This was his answer. He said. "Some people are like a LightHouse and they reflect light out into the darkness and help guide others towards something better (usually)." "But many of the people who come to the LightHouse are not overly endowed with gray matter and so they think that IF they can steal a brick from the base of the light house, then "they" will have some of this light for themselves." "So they steal bricks from the base of the LightHouse." He continued, "THE main problem for you is that IF you let them take too many bricks from your foundation, you will fall over and then there will be no light at all because they have destroyed the LightHouse". "Protect yourself spiritually at all times", he said. People who try and steal your light are the same as How do I protect myself you ask? Protect yourself from the Tall Poppy people, the same way that you protect yourself from ...and always remember to believe in yourself. How To Use This Mantra
Many people mispronounce this as Yahweh or Yahway - but this is in fact incorrect. This name has 72 "vowel" points so any simple attempt at pronouncing it is surely doomed to fail. However, I will show you how to use this name in your meditations which will Many people in the Western World like to use the biblical names associated with the attributes of God. This includes the name יהוה - Yod Hey Vav Hey also called The Tetragrammaton - then the 10 Sephirot after that. In Judaism, Yod Hey Vav Hey is pronounced "Adonai" (which actually means Lord or Master) or "HaShem" (The Name) or sometimes "Elo'kim" (derived from Elohim) and often when written, it is abbreviated to 2 Yod's which looks like double quotation marks [יי] - and this is because it says that you shall not take the Lords Name in vain. So these are precautions in case someone says HaShem's name in anger or other "inappropriate" situation. Saying the 4 letters is OK. Compounded Problem ↟↟ Most mis-informed people think that these 4 letters spell the name "Yahweh" but there is no "W" in Biblical Hebrew so that cannot be right. Chochmah - Binah - Da'at represent wisdom, knowledge and understanding. Opening up these 3 words "may" give you access to vast amounts of wisdom. Consider this. If your mind is not filled with philosophy, knowledge and And it also depends on your heart level.
Let's see how wise you are: Da'at, Binah, Chochmah - or - Chochmah, Binah, Da'at? The secret key is that "in order to have understanding of wisdom, you need to have the knowledge of how to do so". Knowledge can "also" be gifted to you if your heart is honest and you genuinely seek The Truth. This is because the word "Da'at" also implies consciousness. A modern example of this is: Wisdom is a Zipped file, Understanding us the UnZip program, Da'at is the monitor screen you use to see this information. Your brain is the computer and your soul is the OS software. ** Note that Da'at is a The CH in Chochmah is pronounced like the CH in LOCH. (Scottish lake) How to use?Sit comfortably with cleans hands and simply repeat the mantra like this.
Visualize yourself traveling from one Sephirah to the next and then back again (basically you are going up and down). The ten Sephirot are and have their end even as their beginning, conjoined, even as is a flame to a burning coal. ( This means that from our limited physical perspective, the 10 Sephirot are infinite and just like the ineffable name of Just so that you are aware of this. Focus You can focus on 1 or multiple names below. You read this from the bottom up. Visualize yourself climbing this (like a tree) as you say each name.1 Technique Start meditating at the bottom, and move UP the tree. Malchut, Yesod, Netzuch, Hod, Tifferet, Hesed, Gevurah, Da'at, Binah, Chochmah, Keter. Focus on drawing Da'at, Binah, Chochmah into you. ... and then reverse and go down the "tree". Keter, Chochmah, Binah, Da'at, Gevurah, Hesed, Tifferet, Hod, Netzuch, Yesod, Malchut. Then focus on Chochmah, Binah, Da'at being revealed to you. DO NOT put any conditions on what you think "may" or should occur and remember that these experiences MAY be different every time you do them - so do not have a static focus. Then start going up again. Continue ascending and descending. This is a technique I used for many years. You will know that it is working when it starts revealing to you some of the deeper secrets of creation. ** Note that Da'at is a quasi Sephirah (circle).

There is something in Kabbalah called "Ratzon Ha'elyon" ("the Supreme Will" רצון העליון) which is THE source of all sources. You need to understand that TIME is a "construct" (like the matrix) and that what we perceive to be real or unreal, is purely based on extremely limited knowledge of facts. Even if most of you focus on this mantra and think of - and visualize - light, you will be way off base because unless you have died and seen THE Light on the other side, then you will have no idea how fantastically beautiful that light can be, and even then, this light is also a construct when compared to the true Source. I was taught to see Light and then see 7 grades above this light which becomes finer and finer until you get to the 8th grade. If you are worthy, you will see the result of the 8th grade yourself because NO words can describe what you will see and experience. Remember that this too is a construct. EH-He-Yeh includes past, present and future tenses +++ the word Asher which may be rearranged to give you the word Rosh. This means that אשר can also spell ראש. This word and letter manipulation is one of the beautiful things you can find in Hebrew which most people have never even thought of. I unpack another important thing about saying this mantra on this page called The When you say this mantra, your hands and body should be clean - like after bathing or showering. Focus your mind so that it travels up towards the "dwelling" place of God - this is "the point" where the Creator lowers down to so that the Creator can interact with sentient beings. Words have power, which is the power you give them. However, if you are saying a mantra incorrectly - and with the wrong intent - then you may as well be saying "the moon is orangeee" because you you will not derive the full potential benefits from that mantra. Using the mantra "I believe - Ar'ne Ma'amin" (אני מאמין) translates perfectly into most languages so the intent matches the context, but saying "I am that I am - Ehyeh Asher Ehyeh" for a mantra which is extremely complex denies you the ability to ascend and get other spiritual benefits from this mantra. Think of it like trying to turn left when you are half way across a bridge. Not a good idea. When you say this, you should focus "on" and feel that you are becoming connected with the Creator. Connected with and Not as One. ↟↟
• One thing I ask from the Lord, one thing I desire. NOTE that is says ""That I might DWELL in Your house all the days of my life", and it does not say "to merge with The Lord". This is not a technical nuance. There are 2 main reasons for this. 1) The closer you get to The Creator, the more likely your soul will Not return (as we saw at Mt Sinai - where the souls had to be ordered to return back to the bodies). 2) Our primary job is to absorb the Light of Creation and then Reflect this Light BACK to The Creator so that the Purpose of Creation may be fulfilled. (completed) The easiest way to do this is with Prayer and especially if you utilize the power of The Book Of Psalms which is much more powerful that you realize. Psalms gives us all a unified prayer system which is easy to complete each week PLUS it also helps you rectify (Tikun) your Karma if it is not too damaged - more information here In order to do that, we must remain on this level until our allotted time is completed. Connected With means that you can easily disconnect IF you get too much energy through. It is sheer arrogance and / or ignorance for people to even contemplate "merging" with or becoming as one with The Creator for several reasons. Some of these reasons include:

How To Use This Mantra
There is a lot of information for this mantra and the Hebrew letters are down below the 2 big circles but you need to read all of the info before you get to the Hebrew letters. You will also need to have a good knowledge of writing the Hebrew Below I am going to teach you a great secret. The Permutation Mantra can be a very powerful method of active meditation. But there is 2 Caveats. Caveat 1: This is beginner entry level information, and yet this will be too much for most people. Caveat 2: This technique often takes hours to complete when done properly and involves focus, thought, speech and action. We have learned in What is "a word"? That of which it is written ( רֹֽאשׁ-דְּבָֽרְךָ֥ אֱמֶ֑ת וּ֜לְעוֹלָ֗ם כָּל-מִשְׁפַּ֥ט צִדְקֶֽךָ Simple translation, this means that IF your heart is filled with Truth, then the secrets of Creation will be revealed to you. (at your soul level) The Foundation Of Unity ↟↟ The foundation of Unity is Truth - and the foundation of Truth is Love - and the foundation of Love is Peace. The foundation of Peace is Charity, but this is a "doing" action. Everything on this planet is a doing "thing", even dying. A Permutation Mantra has 2 methods. Permutation meditation is a powerful Kabbalistic meditation.
Both methods require total focus and intent. Remember, you are where your mind is. (1) Writing the letters ↟↟ Before I start, I want to tell you this hidden secret. Above I mentioned "Psalm 119:160" where it says that the beginning of your (God's) word is truth. If you do this Permutation Mantra method, there is a word "before" Truth and if you are worthy, this word will reveal itself to you regardless of whatever language you speak. You will know it when you feel it because you will feel it throughout your entire body. PART 2 of this secret is that you cannot see the word "Truth" as a word, you must see it as an attribute of The Creator. The same applies to the word before Truth. But you have to use the Hebrew letters as shown below.
The Permutation Mantra involves writing the Hebrew letters in 2 letter blocks as shown below - and I suggest that you use cardboard or plastic (like a cutting board) to write on, and a piece of wood or plastic as a pen, to start with or else the paper will cost a fortune. If you are writing the letters, you also need to start "slowly" saying each letter in turn. As you get better at writing - and as you progress generally - start writing the letters faster and faster. You also need to visualize these letters before and while you are writing them. In other words, do not just write them, SEE them as white fire on black fire or black fire on white fire. This is a very immersive meditation technique. In the book, The See big blue circular image below. On page 310 (Sefer Yetzirah) you will find the Partzufim of the 10 Sephirot. Partzufim (Hebrew plural: פרצופים, singular partzuf, Hebrew: פרצוף), meaning "Divine Attributes", are particular reconfigured arrangements of the 10 Sefirot using a 2 letter meditation method of the divine symbolic attributes of Kabbalah. Each partzuf is thus a configuration of different-in-kind entities into a harmonious unit. For example, most people see a linear or flat or triangular or other arrangement of the ten Sefirot ( The same principle applies to the The "catch" is that each of these 10 within 10 also have 10 within 10 ad-infinitum and this is quantified by both the Vedic texts and the Ari'Zal. ** Whilst there may be a limit, the word "ad infinitum" in our current level of understanding is as close to being correct as it can possibly be because we have NO idea how magnificently vast and incomprehensible "creation" is. The Big Secret The big secret on meditating on the 10 Sefirot is that you have to visually see them all merge into ONE united entity. This includes Da'at. Each word must be said with one breath, in other words, you cannot inhale and exhale and say multiple words within that one breath. One word == 1 breath. Your focus must be perfectly on the Sephirah (circle) you are saying and you must exclude all other thoughts. When you begin to pronounce the Alef with any vowel, it is expressing the mystery of Unity (Yichud). You must therefore draw it out in one breath and no more. Do not interrupt this breath in any manner whatsoever until you have completed the pronunciation of the letter Alef. Draw out this breath as long as you extend a single breath. At the same time, chant the Alef, or whatever other letter you are pronouncing, while visualizing the form of the vowel point ( Your mind allows you to access the source of all Wisdom, Understanding and Knowledge but you can only learn to utilize this intellect after years of disciplined meditation. But this is only IF your mind is strong enough to allow the weight of what you discover to cross the bridges in your mind. This is why learning and WARNING When you first encounter the Divine Presence, you may be filled with awe and fear. If this happens, it is because you do not have pure Love in your heart. As with the 10 Sephirot, you will first encounter a lower aspect of the Divine and if you have fear, you should stop and learn humility, charity and Love before proceeding - because the higher levels are much less forgiving. Some may appear as feminine and some as masculine. This is in itself an illusion and geared to your physical senses. Emanating masculine or feminine energy is not the real "source" of these entities because they have no boy bits or girl bits. It is merely an aspect of your own preconceived perceptions. Put simply, they are gender specific because you have created this reality in your mind. This gender energy is simply a part of Creation which allows us - on a much lower plane - to exist as male and female. It is another exercise for you to do to merge all of these "aspects", but to do this, you must first know their exact names which is way beyond the scope of this site. How can you know their names? If you are worthy, then their names will be revealed to you at your level. Just like Solomon and Kohelet or another example is Jerusalem and Tzion. These spiritual "entities" appear to people according to the people's own incorporated belief system and more importantly, according to the truth and honesty in their hearts. The names may be different but the source is the same. When or If you are visited, I will give you a TIP: Do not tell anyone, there is no need to do so. REMEMBER that most people are happy living in their cave of darkness and when you shine a light on them, they "often" react in a nasty way. I speak from personal experience. Just know that you are on the right path and that you should try even harder to be a better person. Sometimes you will hear a voice - BUT NOT in your head - and sometimes they will manifest to you in a tangible or intangible form. More information here. You start with aleph-bet, then aleph-gimel, aleph-Daled, aleph-hey, aleph-vav, aleph-zayin, aleph-cHet, aleph-tet etc etc until you get to aleph-TAF. Then you change to bet-gimel, bet-Daled, bet-hey, bet-vav, bet-zayin etc etc until you get to bet-TAF, then you move onto the next letter which is GIMEL-Daled etc. See display below. (2) Saying the letters Saying the letters is not as simple as just Saying the letters. Point 1 ↟↟ Each and every letter must be spoken slowly and deliberately. Each letter must also be spoken with pure intent. You have to totally focus on each letter. Point 2 ↟↟ You need to have a clear mind, deep regular breathing and pure intent to connect with the Creator. And this is the most important, each 2 letter combo must be equal to 1 breath (exhale). It cannot be a split breath of both inhale and exhale (or exhale and inhale). Also it must be the exhale breath, and not the inhale breath. Caution: If you want to utilize your inhale breath, visualize the light from these letters flowing into your body as you inhale - this is not for everyone as it can be too powerful an experience for some people. Remember this: if you desire power, money, or any other material (or physical) desire, also if you are arrogant, narcissistic, proud, lustful or any other negative trait, then this will result in a very nasty experience for you. If you try and ascend before you are spiritually ready, it is not the love of the Creator you need to worry about, it is the Guardians that guard The Path you must travel. Your focus on these 2 letters is that they are (in the Hebrew system), the first 2 letters of Creation so your focus is to mentally connect with this event. How To Use This Mantra Trivia Du Jour Dalida was raised in Egypt until her early 20's and as such she was fluent in Arabic. In the video link above - the many times she says the verse - she says "Hineh Mah Tov ooh Mah Nai-in - Shevet acHiN gam yacHad" which most people miss. But for those who do not miss this error... Dalida often gets Nai-in and Nai'im mixed up and as well as the word Ach'im and Ach'in. In Arabic, the suffixes -IN (or -īna) is added in accusative and genitive cases. In Hebrew, the words should be "ooh Mah Nai'iM, Shevet acHiM gam yacHad" where the IM (yod mem) defines the plural masculine suffix. This is in effect a verbal "typo" where Dalida reverted back to her original Arabic word syntax. The second reason for this is that the word "Ach" means "brother" in both Hebrew and Arabic. This is another simple but beautiful and inspiring melody which many people use to transcend the mundane. You use the first 2 verses as your mantra. The first verse: Most people translate the first verse as "Open the gates of heaven", but this is incorrect. It is actually a command from the person TO the "Gates" themselves and not to God as most people assume. The person is actually speaking TO the gates which is a foreign concept in "most" languages and cultures today.
There are 2 versions of this - with 1 being Sephardic - and the other Ashkanazic and you will notice that many of the words sound quite different. I link to both versions of the same chorus. The first one is slower and a it strained and the second one is overly upbeat. What I do is blend the 2 versions together in my head. This is a great intro before you start meditating or praying IF you are not having a good day. Note Du Jour Some versions of this melody in Hebrew will spell Shamayim with 2 Yods שמיים and some with just 1 yod שמים. While both may be seen as correct, I prefer the single Yod שמים because it directly connects this (IMO) with the first level of Creation as seen in Genesis 1:1. So until someone explains the reason for the second Yod, I will stick with 1 Yod.
