Remember this, what we now call "Comets" were commonly referred to in ancient times as "Stars".
The word "disaster" itself stems from French, Greek and Latin roots meaning "evil star".
The etymology of disaster comes from the Latin "disastro" and the French word "désastre" most commonly applied to a natural "disaster event" and means "against the stars" (which - like today - are seen as astrological warnings of good and bad tidings) and it combines the pejorative prefix dis- "bad or away" with aster meaning the modern day word "star", from Greek "astron" and the Latin "Astra" or "Astrum".
French, Italian and several other Euro languages are direct descendants of Latin, sharing a large majority of their foundational vocabulary and grammatical structures with the ancient Roman Latin. Many English words (et cetera, et al, QED etc) stem from Latin.
Back to the witnesses.
Other religions and civilizations also mention 2 witnesses such as Odin (Norse) and his 2 Ravens (as discussed below) and some say they are the brothers Sköll and Hati.
Zoroastrian
The Zoroastrian say that the "Saoshyants" (plural meaning 2 or more) are expected to come and guide humanity through a period of severe trial and cosmic crisis.
Christianity
Most Christians are familiar with the "2 Witnesses" described in the Book of Revelation but they do not know that these 2 Witnesses have been known by many names in multiple cultures.
Because of possible misinterpreted translations, most people associate these 2 Witnesses with 2 human people.
This is called "Anthropomorphization" just like we assign humans and animals to our "zodiac" sun signs and this trait has been done throughout our entire history as described on the
However, many other "cultures" associate these 2 witnesses with celestial entities.
These 2 witnesses have been known by many different names and forms.
For example:
There is a prophecy in the Book of Revelation 11 which describes "two olive trees" and "two lampstands" standing before "The Lord", they are empowered to prophesy for 1,260 days, call down fire, withhold rain, and strike the earth with plagues.
Hopi et al ↟↟
The Hopi and Mayans call them the "2 Brothers".
These are 2 "comets" which will be seen together. These 2 comets must be extraordinary because there have already been numerous twin comets even since the year 2000.

As you can see, these 2 comets are not rare.
The 2 Witnesses ↟↟
While the Hopi and the Mayans talk about the "2 Brothers" as the 2 Witnesses, the bible mentions Moses and Elijah (these 2 used to be called Moses and Enoch and others say they are Enoch and Elijah?

There is a reason that many cultures view (and viewed) comets as "bringers of doom, death and destruction".
Did you know that Halley's comet was
Odin ↟↟
Odin has 2 ravens - one named Hugin (Thought) and the other named Munin (Memory).
If you think about these 2 names, they describe perfectly how someone would be judged by Heaven.
(1) by what they are thinking now and (2) what they have done in the past.
Consider that in Norse mythology these 2 ravens are the 2 witnesses.
Connections? ↟↟
Revelation 11:9 describes people from all over the world viewing the unburied corpses of the "two witnesses" for three and a half days.
America's great nemesis is 911.
Is there a connection?
For example.
The (2026) president of Egypt is Abdel Fattah el-Sisi.
Abdel is a derivative of Abd which means slave.
Fattah means conqueror.
El in Arabic means "The" but if we cross translate this with Hebrew we get "To" or "god".
SISI when reversed is ISIS and the "goddess" Isis in Egyptian mythology is the bringer of destruction.
Is the name "Abdel Fattah el-Sisi" a warning of things to come if we do not change our ways?
Greek ↟↟
In Greek legend, it talks about the 2 sisters called "Menippe and Metioche" who sacrificed themselves to end a plague and were transformed into comets.
This could easily be dismissed as a folk tale except that they are said to come from "Orion".
The Dynastic Egyptians knew "Orion" as "SAR or SAH" and it was from Sah that the destroyers ISIS (
Broom Stars ↟↟
In ancient China and Japan, astronomers called comets "broom stars" and believed they swept away the old to make room for the new.

In Japan, comets were considered portents of disasters like famine and war, or sometimes seen as the fiery breath of celestial dragons.
This was in part because if any debris discarded by comets, entered the Earth's atmosphere, they became meteorites and bolides. Hence the ancients saw these as fire breathing dragons.
