Astrological
This section will not make much sense unless you first read the "Astrological" section.
Not only do names change over time, but in many cases, the pronounciation of words is also the subject of change.
This occurs today - quite famously with the Japanese R and L and the Spanish J and H to name just a few.
How Names Change Over Time
One of the most overlooked links to history - by most people - is that Names Change Over Time

There are potentially many hundred of such abbreviated names when you take all languages into account.
Now Consider This ↟↟
Consider how these shortened names change over time and especially when translated into another language.
One example of this is Jesus (pronounced Hey-Zeus).
This is quite a common Spanish name for boys over the many centuries.
Think about in the future (say 2,000 - 6,000 years from now - or longer) when archeologists dig up writings or even Rosetta Stones which show that there were 10's of thousands of people called Jesus all over the world.
And then you have reverse names like ZEUS which is how the SUEZ canal got its name.
Complete Name Changes ↟↟
To make things even more confusing, you have complete name changes by different countries.

History Of Portugal And Spain ↟↟
Portugal and Spain almost became 1 country until the champion of this idea died in 1500.
Spanish, French, and Italian all have Latin roots, and they are derived from "Vulgar" Latin and not "High Latin".
High Latin means proper latin while Vulgar latin means the language spoken by farmers and common folk which typically includes lots of local slang.
Other Countries
The Vandals migrated from the Russian Steppes to North Africa and yet both their physical appearance and languages have been completely changed.
All of the "Arab" States used to be different peoples with a vast array of languages until Islam offered them the choice of converting or being murdered.
In fact, almost every (every) country on this planet has been overrun multiple times by different peoples and in one way or another, the weaker or less intelligent "species" was either absorbed or erased.
Compounding This was... ↟↟
Compounding this was the fact that most (if not all) brought their own religions and beliefs.
I love (most) Irish humor.
I watched a documentary of Ireland where the Celts used to worship the prostitute with a baby (like most ancient civilizations, as this showed fertility) and then when the Christians came they were impressed when the Celts told the missionaries that she was the Virgin and Child.
There is a great book about ancient female worship called "When God Was A Woman" that you may like to read which discusses many ancient beliefs and the Goddesses that ruled by sexual favors.
This video about the Hidden Genes of "German DNA" clearly shows how different "groups" of people have have merged together over time.
While this video is about the DNA of central Europe, you need to also apply the same melding principle to languages everywhere.
Erased Languages
Many thousands of languages have come and gone just in the last few thousand years.
For example
You also need to consider the lost languages like the 10's of millions of people who vanished after the Spaniards came to South America and gave the natives wonderful gifts like small pox and other Western diseases, thereby deleting many 10's of millions of people.
Officially, the population figure is between 30 million - 50 million (±) but since the advent of LIDAR Radar, this number is expected to go much higher. + + + you also have legends like the "Lost city of Z"
My Uncle ↟↟
My Uncle who was from Holland (Netherlands) once told me that before WW I, almost every village had their own dialect (often slang) and that after the 2 world wars, many countries created a central language structure often referred to as "High XYZ". (where xyz represents a specific language.
Many Americans would be aware of this "dialect" problem when they need to get translations and people from (for example) Colombia complain when the translation was done in a Mexican dialect instead of "High Spanish).
The same problem applies to Arabic where most of the Arab movies come from Egypt so most Arab countries understand Egyptian Arabic but struggle with "slang" from other Arab countries.
Why Is This Here? ↟↟
I mention this because if someone translates an ancient document from Northern India (for example) into Telugu (a Southern Dialect), it does not mean that everyone in "India" can read or understand what has been written.
All of these factors need to be considered when reading ancient texts.
Language Genders
Now for the Curve Ball.
To make things even more confusing, you need to also consider gender.
Not all languages have genders and translations of gender specific words in from language into another language which does not support these specific words, usually leaves a gaping hole in the translation - of which the reader is often completely unaware.
The 4 genders.
NOTE: This has NOTHING to do with inane woke ideology.
- Male Gender

- Female Gender

- Neutral Gender

- Wierd Gender

Typically in English, we do not have grammatical genders and I think that this is the best method (personal opinion).
However, many languages do have gender specific grammatical language structures.
The following is a simple overview.
Some examples are Hebrew, Spanish, Portuguese, Russian, German, French etc.
Male Gender
Since this site is mainly about Judeo-Christian information, I will use Hebrew as my example base.
Plural male words in Hebrew typically end in IM (Yod Mem) but there is a catch.
Some words like "he" (masculine singular) הוא, when converted into the plural "Them" (masculine) are simply written as HM (hem) הם.
Any group of women which includes even 1 male, is considered as being described in the Male Gender.
For example, Beni-Israel is not just the "sons" of Israel, it is often referred to as The Children Of Israel because it includes Male + Female (+old and young).
There is a hidden meaning in this which goes back to the creation of Adam before Eve (Chava).
*** Please note that I did not make the rules, I am just repeating what I was taught.
Female Gender
Femine words in Hebrew typically end with the letter H (Hey) for singular and OT for plural
There are however, words which are simply spelt with the H at the end of the word.
NOTE that this (H) at the end of a word is not always the case of being a female word - for example - the word for "you" (masculine) in Hebrew is Atah אתה which clearly shows the letter ה (H) at the end of the word.
Neutral Gender
Some words are simply gender neutral and do not identify with either male or female.
Wierd Gender
Some words are just wierd, considering that if you have a male and female structure, then why would you include words which do not fit this structure.
For example: In Hebrew, one of the words used to describe a group of women is NishIM (nish-eem) נשים. This refers to a group of women only - with no men.
Yet NishIM has the masculine plural at the end of the word?
A group of men and women together is called Ana'sheem (אנשים) - with the letter Alef at the beginning.
And then there is my favorite word, Table.
Table (שולחן) which is masculine, yet the plural is ShulchanOT (feminine) שולחנות.
This is actually easy to explain because the default gender is masculine.
So my points here is that you need to learn and know the language before you can trust the translations and you also need to account for any "slang of the day".
Slang of the day would be like: in English we say "GoodBye" when we leaving someone.
Yet I have often heard people say Ciao (Chau in Espanol). Ciao is Italiano and imagine how confusing this would be to someone translating English and Italian 2,000 years from now when they see this word.
I have heard Germans say the Hungarian word "szervusz" which means goodbye.
Japanese "Slang" is notorious for shortening words, Like "Sorry" Go-me-no-sai down to Gomi which also mean garbage (rubbish) in Japanese so Go-mi is then emphasized like this "Go-mi-Neh".
Good morning (Ohio Gozai-mus) and Thank-you (Arigato-gozai-mus) are both very often shortened down to Gozai-mus. (this is the short version).
If a book was written in Australian "Slang" , most Americans would be asking for refunds after page 1.
In the UK you have Cockney Rhyming "Slang" where a word is replaced with 2 or more words which sound like the original.
The Big Question ↟↟
The question you need to ask before reading and emphatically believing whatever is written is this: "Does the translator understand the spoken language of the day when the texts were written OR was the text written in HIGH language?"
