Are Humans Sentient Beings?

The answer is No and "potentially" Yes.

Let's start at the beginning shall we?

Most people mistakenly (and often arrogantly) assume that because they are human, they are automatically sentient.

This is factually wrong.

You only have to look at the massive number of stupid people on this planet to automatically know that "all" humans are sentient is a lie.

It is not an un-truth or a mistake or any other excuse, it is a bald faced lie.

From our perspective, on this planet, we have access to 5 soul levels.

According to the saintly Ari'Zal, there are 5 levels.

These are in descending order - so the bottom #5 is the lowest and the top #1 is the highest.

1. Yechidah (יְחִידָה) - Soul of Unity - beyond sentient and this level is closely attached to The Creator.
2. Chaya (חַיָּה) - Transcendent awareness level usually associated with being Sentient.
3. Neshama (נְשָׁמָה) - Intellectual and advanced spiritual level.
4. Ruach (רוּחַ) - Emotional and moral core of the soul.
5. Nefesh (נֶפֶשׁ) - Basic animal soul.

On top of that there are 10 UPPER grades and 10 lower grades associated with each level. Depending upon the grade you are currently on.

Think of it like when you went to high school and you were in (for example) Grade 8. In most cases you would be assigned to 8a, 8b, 8c, 8d etc This "line" is always linear in one direction.

So now imagine that there are 10 lower grade 8's and 10 higher grade 8's (for example:: 8a1, 8a2, 8a3, 8a4 etc but these are all good, better best up to super fantastice.

Most people on this planet do not even have a Divine Soul and of those who do, most pf them are of the lowest grades.

However, humans have the "potential" to evolve much faster UP the soul ladder than an animal or plant.

This requires learning and the will to learn more - which is sadly lacking in many cases.

One of my teachers told me that, "just because I had finished school, I did not know everything about life, indeed, my journey of discovery had just begun", he said.

Animal Souls ↟↟

Animals have an Animal Soul and towards the end of their karmic debt, they may also be given a lower "Grade" Intellectual soul.

Also remember that between each incarnation "cycle", there are different "Grades". This means that a person reincarnated at the lowest level, will only think from a basic animal perspective, while animals close to completing their karmic punishment will start to display a greater intellectual capacity.

This lower level thinking is not an excuse to be stupid, in fact it is a greater challenge for most because they actually have the capacity to overcome this challenge - but sadly, many simply fall by the wayside because they do not try hard enough. Spiritual meditation helps.

Animals can still feel love and affection and many animals are actually very intelligent.

"Most" Humans have 2 souls with the difference being that Humans may be endowed with a Divine soul if they are worthy.

These are the Animal soul and the Intellectual soul.

Again, these are Grade dependent.

This does not automatically qualify anyone to be classified as Sentient.

However, some Humans also have a divine soul and it is only the elevation of this Divine soul which has the potential to be Sentient.

Divine souls can be passed on via parents or inherited by acts of kindness and charity especially those acts which include saving the life of others - however, in most cases, inherited Divine souls are usually associated with your next reincarnation.

Here is a great mystery.

Where do these Higher Souls come from?

"Genesis 1:3" "And God said, "Let there be light," and there was light."

Most people mistakenly think that this light refers to the "Sun" but this is not true, or else "Genesis 1:16" would not exist

And God made the two great luminaries: the great luminary to rule the day and the lesser luminary to rule the night, and the stars.

Another part of the answer to this question is found in "Genesis 12:5" where it says "And Abram took Sarai his wife and Lot his brother's son, and all their possessions that they had acquired, and the souls they had acquired in Haran..."

Many translations of this verse use the word BEGOT - which typically implies gave birth to - but Abraham and Sarah had no children - remember.

The word in Hebrew for "Made or Do" is Oh-Seh עשה (F), and the word used in the Hebrew text is עָשׂ֣וּ which has a Vav on the end (one meaning in Kabbalah) means "connection" - in other words, it helps a person be connected to The Creator.

SUMMARY

Abram (Abraham), Sarai (Sarah), and Lot went to Haran and connected with the Creator and "drew down" supernal souls.

Most people will not understand this, but the drawing down of these (70) souls was preordained in Heaven which is why he was able to do so.

Also note that Abram (Abraham) only drew down 70 souls which may have been a restriction on him in case he failed to remain righteous, in which case, only 70 supernal souls would have been damaged.

וְאֶת-הַנֶּ֖פֶשׁ אֲשֶׁר-עָשׂ֣וּ בְחָ֑רָ

However, Abram (Abraham) remained righteous and was thus able to increase in number as stated in Exodus.

That is one way of acquiring a Supernal Soul.

In Kabbalah, the word Alia (Aliyah) עלייה / עֲלִיָּה means to "Go Up" or "Ascend" and is often used in the context of "Making Alia To Israel".

The Hebrew letters in Aliyah עלייה / עֲלִיָּה may also be seen individually.

עֲל Al (ahl) means on or upon.

יי is often used as a shortened version of (God) Adonai.

And the last 2 letters Yod Hey or even just Hey implies another connection to "God" (HaShem) יה

Remember this "Implies" an association with The Creator and does not in any way describe The Creator. You have more chance of capturing tangible iridescence and putting it in a paper bag than you have of describing The Creator.

Alia may also mean an ascension of the soul.

However, for us regular folk, Divine Souls can only truly be bestowed upon those who have Love in their hearts.

This is the minimum prerequisite.

This must be accompanied by acts of Kindness, Charity and Compassion and Love of The Creator.

These must be done selflessly - so you do not seek a reward for your actions.

However, it should also be noted that Divine souls can also be taken away (excommunicated if you will) from people who have directly or indirectly harmed others, spread hatred, incited harm or violence against other people (sentient or not) and especially where someone has been killed (for no life-saving reason).

Just because someone has had a Divine souls bestowed upon them, it does not automatically give them the right to do anything they please.

Working out these soul levels was one of my biggest conundrums when I was doing regression hypnosis on clients.

How Do I Inherit A Divine Soul?

By doing acts of selfless charity, love and compassion.

As well as seeking to be close to The Creator. "Psalm 27:4"

Are Animals Sentient Beings?

The short answer is No ("Mu" ).

Animals have to finish their karmic debt, reincarnate as humans, then earn their ascendant grades until they reach the potential of becoming sentient.

Life is not like in the movies where you cut a rock in half with a light saber and automatically qualify as a Jedi master.

Exactly the same way that you do not start school at aged 5 and the following "day" get a Phd degree or similar.

People sometimes ask about animals that seem to be extraordinary in that they will ask humans for help or show affection which is way beyond what you might expect from an animal.

We are close to the end of this cycle (one way or another) and many animals are reaching the end of their Karmic debt and starting to remember when they were people in previous lifetimes. This is why they appear to be sentient compared to their kind.

Regarding animals and love ↟↟

Animals do feel affection, and this becomes more pronounced the closer they get to the end of their Karmic debt cycle. Some examples: + + + + + + + + + +

However, many people mistake love for being sentient. This "love" is stronger when you (or another animal) are associated with the target animal from a very early age. This is due to what is (zoologically) called imprinting.

The reason that animals cannot become sentient beings is because they lack the ability to do the things only someone in a humanoid structure can do.

This includes - but is not limited to - praying, meditating, preparing specific foods, fasting and more.

However, the most important point is that animals do not have the ability to "inherit" a 3rd or divine soul.

In order to understand this, you need to know that there are "Grades" of life-forms on this planet.

Regarding wild animals ↟↟

The answer is quite simple. Wild "animals" that interact with humans - such as asking for help for themselves or others - are close to the end of their "Karmic Debt" Cycle and they have started to remember their previous lives as humans - and while in most cases they are still afraid of humans, sometimes compelling situations force them to take extraordinary "steps" to contact Humans for help.

There is a "Koan" about this called "Hyakujos Fox" which discusses a teacher who gave false information to a student and had to come back 500 lifetimes as a fox.

That was for just giving false information.

Imagine what punishment you will receive if you harm or kill someone?

Thou Shall not Kill?

It is important to note that in Hebrew, the "commandment" which is commonly translated as "Thou Shall Not Kill" actually says, "Do Not Murder".

Rules

Sri AnandaMayi Ma is quoted as saying, "Towards self-realization is the ONLY direction in which to advance, al the rest is vanity and leads to suffering.

As I have learned over the years, ascension itself requires discipline, dedication and most importantly, it requires knowledge.

There is a saying in Kabbalah that "Whomever increases increases and whomever decreases decreases".

This is an ancient way of saying that if you do not keep an active brain, then you lose it.

And if you do not enhance your memory, then you lose that as well.

Life is NOT a movie where you cut a rock in half with a light saber and instantly become a jedi master and if you cannot see that fact, then perhaps this is not the right website for you.

I have met so many people over the years who have told me that now they have left school, they do not need to learn any more.

In this aspect, I was lucky to get kicked out of home at 14 so I always felt that I never knew enough and that I had to keep learning every day.

I was also fortunate enough to have good teachers and in my first (away from home) job, one of the old guys (everyone was old to me when I was 14), told me that he tried to learn something new everyday.

3 Spiritual / Ascension Rules ↟↟

There are 3 main rules for ascension.

One of them is food that you eat.

This is important because animals and lower lifeforms live at various grades and some of those "grades" exude negative energies much more then positive energies.

A simple example you may not know about is Left and Right Amino Acids.

Most have both Left and Right "spins" but your body absorbs the Left-Spin better than the right spin.

For example L-Citrulline is a precursor to L-Arginine which is the precursor to Nitric Oxide and highly beneficial especially for those with blood flow issues and diabetes (especially black foot) and is very important for cardiovascular (heart) health. (especially when combined with potassium)

The 3 are:

1. Food
2. Intent
3. Actions

Food ↟↟

The food you eat affects you spiritually.

For example: Eating meat causes you to absorb the lower karmic energy of the animal you are eating.

Predatory Fish have the highest negative impact the same as predatory or scavenger birds.

Reptiles are also negative energy carriers.

If you do eat meat - and this is your choice - then if I may suggest grass fed organic beef or lamb would be my choices.

Avoid eating meat and milk together with a minimum of 6 hours between consuming both items.

BTW

While looking for links to this article, I ran into unfounded claims about milk and meat (especially on quora) and some of the answers are so absurd that they defy any kind of intelligence.

While there are practical reasons for not ingesting milk and meat together (such as inhibiting bacterial replication from badly cooked meat), there are also spiritual reasons as well - similar to the biblical prohibition against wearing flax and wool together.

Diabetic?

If you are diabetic and on a meat diet, it is generally acceptable for you to eat whatever you need in order to get better. This includes meat and fish but NO ice cream or processed carbohydrates like flour.

In fact, there is a lot of good information online about reversing diabetes by doing the "carnivore diet" (stopping all carbs and vegetables for 12-18 months) until your body recovers.

FYI: Kosher per se means "permitted" (trafe means not permitted) but the word Kashrut covers the body of Jewish religious laws concerning the suitability of food and drinks.

These books do NOT impinge upon anyone's religious beliefs, they are simply about food.

Remember the old adage. "You are what you eat".

Intent ↟↟

Now that you are thinking about better quality food, may I address the elephant in the room.

Intent

There are 3 main aspects of Intent.

1. Stagnation

Most people meditate and pray by "rote" and they do not infuse love or intent into their meditation or prayers.

This is possibly the main reason that they become stale and tired of doing these actions after many years.

To be sure - many people get a "buzz" but they are still missing the truly powerful experiences of joy and opening their hearts to universal Love itself.

There are ways to enhance meditation and prayer by using riffs or specific verses from powerful songs - a few of which I mention on this "Melodies" page.

These verses help many people get into the right emotional "mood" especially when they focus on The Creator (like "Psalm 27:4" ) as well as someone they love dearly.

You may not know that but most people are capable to focusing on between 2 - 5 mantras or thoughts at the same time while meditating.

These include the spoken mantra, a melody, a visualization, a second mantra and an esoteric focal point.

When these are combined with 2 more attributes, being No-Mind and the Love of The Creator, then you have a whirlwind which can potentially take you up to heaven itself. (metaphorically speaking)

For example, I personally like to think of my wife and the Shalom Aleichem mantra melody "Melodies" before praying or meditating and I am often moved to tears.

As I have repeatedly stated on many of the meditation pages, playing music "while" meditating or praying is highly distractive and detrimental to your meditation or prayer.

However, singing aloud or silently your mantra or prayer is different because it allows you to enter into a secondary state of mind where your senses are more acutely focused on the prayer or mantra - but - with a potentially higher focal point - if done correctly.

Most people do not know this but the Torah was given as a song and this is one of the reasons why it was given as a song.

2. Commitment

Commitment goes together with Intent.

Commitment means that you must do this daily unless medically unable to do so - or you are dead.

Here is where it gets interesting.

In the Vedic scriptures, it is taught that the "Mahabharata" was given to be studied continuously "and" just like the expression "Yoke Of The Torah" they were given a dictate which is similarly worded "One Who Bears Or Carries".

This shows that it is incumbent on humans to pray daily and meditate daily to help draw down this supernal light.

It is only by connecting to the "Source" of Creation that you can begin to hope to be elevated up to the Sentient level.

You do not drive with your eyes closed, so why would you go through life with your eyes firmly welded shut?

By elevating the light in yourself, you have "a" chance to connect with the Divine but remember, this does require discipline and commitment.

3. Pro Rata Reciprocation

What you project is what you get back, especially as far as honesty is concerned.

This is because your body and soul (combined) are designed to not only ansorb energy (Light), but also to transmit this energy.

This not only works for the light of Creation but also for truth.

When you get to the stage of ascending, if you are 100% honest, you will receive 100% truth in response to any questions.

If you are only 20% honest, then this is the amount of truth you will be shown and the rest will be falsehoods (lies).

It is your choice.

Actions ↟↟

This is the world of action.

When you wake up in the morning, at some point you must get out of bed and start your day.

You cannot "imagine" food, clothing and accommodation and these things magically appear. You must work for them - one way or another.

The real power of actions is how you approach them.

Everything that has happened to me in my life - the good, the bad and the ugly - have all shapped me to be a better person and that is in part because of my positive approach to both the good and bad experiences.

If you play mind games, emotional games or just stupid games, then you will have many more lifetimes of living in the bush like a feral human because you have destroyed the potential of this lifetime.

We are on a spiritual "cusp" between good and evil and the cost of mistakes - as well as the benefits of good deeds - is much higher this cycle.

You need to make positive decisions.

You need to take positive actions.

And Your need to start ASAP because you never know when life will be over - as I experienced in 2023 when I died twice.

One minute I am walking and talking and the next I am floating above my body looking down at the blood coming out of my head.

Take control of your life, do good deeds, think good thoughts, meditate daily and pray daily and you may just be able to ascend to the next level before this lifetime expires.

Consider This

Q) What "Long Term" spiritual purpose does drinking (alcohol), smoking or taking drugs benefit "Your Soul"?

A) So IF there is NO benefit, then it must be a detriment and in fact, more people have been harmed and even lost their lives from that list than it is possible to count and so their spiritual "potential" has also been truncated.

Also, if these 3 are so toxic to your life and the lives of people around you, then why would you want to partake of any of these knowing that you could potentially harm someone you love?

Just looking at the "United States death rates" from drug overdoses and just from drug overdoses should be enough to make you sit up and think about your own actions.

Now expand this death rate out on a global scale.

The Ayahuasca Argument

I have heard many people claim that certain "Herbs" like "Ayahuasca" open your mind but the truth is that not only do they do not teach you anything - but they also blow open the fragile doorways (gates) of your mind (which advanced meditators would be aware of).

Why is that?

Because on the spiritual levels, anything you receive is directly related to your own levels of honesty and truth and also to your levels of dishonesty and lies.

Ayahuasca and other such "herbal" products do not teach you the spiritual paths you need to travel to achieve true enlightenment - it merely gives you a glimpse of what "may or may not" be real.

They do not teach you how to open and close the doorways (gates) through which you must travel in order to reach your spiritual goal.

Plus, you are completely reliant on taking Ayahuasca (etc) to get your next experience which means that - for most people with the Pill Mentality Mindset - they will always be paying for an experience which they "may" have had naturally if they had bothered to learn the correct steps of meditation.

The inability to relive Ayahuasca type experiences "on spec" (without planning) often leads to anxiety and depression and I have personally watched many friends over the years go through this suffering which has - unfortunately - led some of them to terminate their own lives. + + + +

Medical Cannabis Argument

Many people claim that Medical Cannabis (marijuana or Mary-J) helps with their pain and whilst that may be true, the silent FACT is that whilst these people are being treated for the SYMPTOM of their health issue - and not the CAUSE of their health issue(s) - should tell you quite clearly - that if there is money to be made from the exploitation of people suffering, then there will be some company or group that will exploit these people without helping them discover and fix the root cause of their problem.
