Am I Praying Properly?
How Can I Tell If I Am Praying Properly?
If you are truly Praying Properly, you should have tears of joy streaming down your face and your heart should feel like it wants to explode out of your chest.
And when you are truly connected with the Divine, your brain will feel like it is getting an endorphin rush.
This is multiplied dramatically when you start to experience what can only be described as Effervescent Moon Beams Of Honey pervading your soul and body.
One final point, time will feel compressed so what may appear to take 10 or 20 minute of prayer may take 2, 3, 4 or even more hours.
Headaches
I almost forgot about this.
When you start meditating or praying and you are extremely deep and focused, you may experience "Meditation Headaches"
.
This is perfectly normal and it is nothing to worry about.
Simply STOP meditating or praying for a few days and then start again but reduce your time down to 20 minutes per session for a few weeks until you build up "muscle memory" and you body adapts to the increase of blood flow to your brain.
Cause?
These headaches are typically caused by an increase of blood flow to the brain (which is great for "NeuroGenesis"
).
OFTEN they are a sign of Trace Mineral deficiencies as well - which are often caused by "Sugar"
striping valuable minerals from the body and brain.
Also remember that the Light from The Creator is not (not) coarse like sunlight or from light bulbs, it is tantalizingly refined and soft and when you see it or feel it, then you will experience something unlike anything else on this planet.
In modern talk, it would be like a 3D real person made of light, coming out of your computer screen.
On a personal note, I have found that - when done properly - prayer has the potential to be much more potent than meditation. (generally speaking)
This is not said to undermine the benefits of meditation (of which there are many), but to make you aware that there is a difference between meditation and prayer and you should choose which "target goal" you are aiming for.
In other words, what are you trying to achieve?
And the really good part is that they are often interchangeable which means that you can actually say some prayers as a meditation mantra.
Final Notes ↟↟
Do not think because you have tears that you are "There". When you start having these experiences, no matter how powerful they may feel, you are just skipping over the surface.
Even when your body feels like "The Universe" itself and the joy or pain engulfs your entire being, you still have a long way to go to get to your destination.
If you remember that all of these experiences are simply Ego Tests and that you need to continue your journey towards The Creator, then the other experiences you may have will often eclipse the previous ones.
These "experiences" may sometimes be connected to "Dream Tests"
and these "tests" can be very emotionally devastating.
Sometimes they are about extreme joy and sometimes about extreme pain.
These tests are designed to strengthen your mind for what is to come... IF you are worthy.
