What Is Brain NeuroGenesis?
The following information is what I have discovered which works for me. While most of this "may be" construed as anecdotal, there is also a lot of scientific studies to support any claims made within this document.
This information is generally freely available in Groups like Facebook and other online groups and alternate newsletters.
Brain NeuroGenesis is where your body uses stem Cells to manufacture new brain Cells. Certain herbs are now being suggested to aid in the treatment of Alzheimer's.
This is not new info and it is not unique information either. 
It is well documented that the body replaces old and dysfunctional Cells on a regular basis. + 
For a long time it was "speculated" that the body did not replace brain Cells, but this has now been scientifically proven incorrect.
There are several ways to stimulate NeuroGenesis and these include certain herbs, Minerals like Lithium orotate, meditation and Fasting. All scientifically documented.
Most of us are unaware of the fact that the vast majority of people lose brain mass as they get older. In many people, this can be a significant loss and this "Brain Mass Loss" is exacerbated by chemicals, sugar and poor quality diets.
Increase Your Brain Mass
Did you know that as most people age, our brains shrink in volume, particularly in the frontal cortex. It is technically referred to as Brain Atrophy. + 
However you can (in most cases) reverse this shrinking problem when you include exercise, reading, herbal supplements and Minerals into your daily routine. Then couple those with Meditation and Fasting and you have a winning formula.
Watching TV does not count as this is well known to put people into an ALPHA (brain dead) wave state. 
Generating new brain Cells is easier than you think.

Interestingly, many older religions include Fasting as part of their system.

"Prof Valter Longo" (USC) has scientifically shown that "Fasting" also stimulates new brain cell development. He is featured in a documentary called "Eat, Fast and Live Longer" put out by the BBC. ("USA Only") or ("UK Only")

The object of this page is to safely combine Meditation, Fasting and other "supplements" which help brain cell NeuroGenesis.
Sugar is an enemy of your brain as well.

Alcohol
While alcohol and some drugs cause brain cell damage + + + + , this will help you create new ones a lot slower than the destructive process but it will work.
How do I know that this works? you ask.
In 2023 I fell over and smashed my head on the ground. I lost + - up to 80% of my memory.
I actually fell over, hit my head on the microwave and then recoiled back with force (in an unconscious reflex state) and then smashed my head when I hit the floor. I do remember the coconut Popping sound.
Lucky for me the part I retained included the herbal training I have done over the years.
Within 12 months, I was back to around 60% and after 2 years I have better than 90% memory return.
The most debilitating part (for me) was knowing that I "knew" something but I could not remember what it was.
My Personal Story
FYI: In May 2023 I tripped and smashed my head on the floor which caused me to have both Dissociative amnesia and Anterograde amnesia.
My challenge was that I had to rebuild my brain and I did not have the rest of my life to do so.
I felt like I was on the edge of an abyss - abyss means a seemingly bottomless pit and not a female monk - staring down into darkness and I did not understand what I was looking at. Often I felt like I was down in that darkness and I could not find any light wherever I looked. This is not a good feeling I can tell you.
It was like diving naked into crude oil would be the easiest way to describe it.
My wife described me as being half past dead and 6 times as stupid. Her prognosis was very accurate.

The doctors said that this amnesia may last for months, years or even forever.
I spent almost 3 months in hospital ($$$'s) and most of the first 1 month sleeping around 23+ hours a day and the last month I could barely walk properly but I could talk in a basic manner. My rehab (physio) nurse was a beautiful soul and she was amazingly patient with her patient. (moi)
I felt useless and the weird thing is that I could not understand why I felt this way. For some time, I was often dissociated from reality - kind of like watching myself dreaming inside a TV.
Anyway, for some strange reason, my wife decided to keep me - which only increased my love for her soul.
I had a whole bunch of brain herbs and tinctures which I was taking before my accident and my wife kept me taking these after my accident with great success.
Around December 2023 there was a surprising jump in my memory and "most" of my memory returned. ± 70% - 80% in my estimation.
La La Land
All I did for the first several months after being discharged from hospital was watch videos on YouTube and play backgammon and 247SpaceRocks.com which help my hand/eye coordination greatily (IMO).
Lucky for me that I had all of the tinctured herbs I needed and this Trace Mineral supplement, Iodine, potassium, magnesium L-Threonate etc.
I am also lucky that my wife knows about these herbs and how to get me to take them.
So while some of the information is personally anecdotal, there is now a lot of scientific evidence to support other parts and thousands of years of results from TCM herbal medicine (China) and Ayurvedic medicine (India) to support the herbal aspects.
Regarding Water Fasting.
I must also point out that Water Fasting has been quite problematic for me personally - because of the damage I did to my brain when I hit the floor head first - and the most I have been able to do is 6 days at a time. (so far - 2025)
I am hoping that 2026 - 2027 will be a better year for me for Fasting.

Brahmi
Brahmi (Bacopa monnieri) is a plant that has commonly been used for increased brain functionality and memory enhancement for many centuries in traditional Ayurvedic medicine (India).
It is most often referred to simply as Brahmi.
Studies in India show that Brahmi increases certain brain functions such as thinking, learning, and memory. 
It might also protect brain Cells from chemicals involved in Alzheimer disease.

Water Fasting
Despite what you read or see online, it is strongly recommended that you do "Water Fasting" and not Dry Fasting.
Dry Fasting is where you do not eat or drink during your fast.
Dry Fasting in 2026 may be dangerous or even worse because of vitamin, minerals, chemical and (or) hormone imbalances.
I have been doing Fasting (properly) since 1977 and have many tips to share with you. The first 3 tips and the most important is that you need to
- Detox First
- Always be Monitored
- Only Do Water Fasting
Extreme Trace Minerals loss (often exacerbated by sugar) may also cause "Meditation Sickness" which has symptoms very similar to anxiety and depression.
I will cover these and many more points at a later date.
The biggest problem with Dry Fasting these days is ALL of the chemicals and toxins and heavy metals we are exposed to and absorb which can and does cause severe physical and especially mental trauma for most people doing Dry Fasting.

I was 22 before I even heard about Autism, but now-a-days, this is LESS THAN 1 in 20 kids in some US states. (source cdc.gov)
Detox First
If you still want to do "any" Fasting, then you really need to Detox first.
This may take from 3 months and even as long as 6 months. Then you "PFAS Chemicals" (also called Forever Chemicals) which are almost impossible to get out of your body.
Water Fasting Is Safer
Water Fasting is much safer. This provides a way for your body to excrete (get rid of) most of the nasty stuff as it is released from the body and brain.
Before you start fasting, you should be eating only fermented vegetables so that your gut biome is not full of nasty candida type bacteria. These send out chemical signals to the brain when hungry and can destroy (and have destroyed) many fasting attempts.
True fasting ONLY starts when the intestines and bowel are completely empty.
This can be achieved quicker using Epsom salts. Dosage rates will depend on your body size.
You will also need emergency access to your bathroom, so it is advisable to do this "cleanse" when you have NO kids or others around for 1 or 2 days.
BTW: You will need to be taking a potassium + magnesium + calcium supplement for at least 3 weeks before you start Fasting and during your Fast. This helps protect the heart from stress.

Gingko Biloba
Gingko Biloba is a well know "blood thinner" and is very common in "Asia".
You should NOT use Gingko Biloba if:
- You are any medication blood thinners.
And also NEVER use the seeds, they are reportedly poisonous.
I gather the leaves in late Fall (Autumn) when they have turned yellow (green leaves have a nasty taste). Then I wash (individually) each leaf, blend and tincture. I make at least 4 liters (over 1 gallon) each time.

Gotu Kola
Gotu Kola (Centella asiatica) is often referred to as Brahmi. Just to make life more confusing.
As you can see by the Botanical names, they are different plants.
- Brahmi (Bacopa monnieri)
- Gotu Kola (Centella asiatica)
This confusion may stem from the fact that they both are used to increase memory and brain functionality.

Iodine
"Bromine" + is often added to bread in many countries (2026) to make the bread look whiter.
Iodine is well known for removing halogens like Chlorine, Bromine, and also removes Mercury especially when combined with chlorella which is a binding agent that helps remove these toxins.
Iodine is also critical for brain health especially for babies and children.
Iodine is also critical for thyroid health.
All you need is Lugols liquid Iodine @ just 2% and take 1 drop in the morning and 1 drop in the evening.

Japanese Knotweed
Let me start this off by saying that most websites claim that Japanese Knotweed (Reynoutria Japonica) contains "Resveratrol" which is technically incorrect.
You see, Japanese Knotweed (Reynoutria Japonica) contains high amounts of "TRANS-Resveratrol" which is the bio-absorbable component of Resveratrol which your body needs.
Otherwise your body has to do all of the work of converting Resveratrol into TRANS-Resveratrol before it can be used.
That is the end of my speech.
One of the most renowned health benefit of Japanese knotweed is its positive effect on our cognitive (brain) health.
Trans-Resveratrol has been shown to have a preventative affect on neurodegenerative illnesses such as Alzheimer's and dementia, making Japanese Knotweed a supremely beneficial plant for brain health. + Especially in the areas of memory and learning.
Japanese Knotweed also contains compounds that give your body an immune system boost.
Japanese Knotweed has been found to stimulate the immune system, helping to fight off infections and illnesses.
There is a trick to using Japanese Knotweed.
1. You need to use the the roots. The roots contain the highest amount of "Trans-Resveratrol" .
2. You need to use younger roots (as these are easier to tincture)
3. If you want to eat the above ground part of the plant, it must be less than 10 inches (20cms) high because after 8-10 inches (17-20 cms) the plant becomes woody and tastes awful.
4. Dig up the roots in early spring or very early winter as the plant dies off in colder climates and the "goodness" gets stored in the roots. NOTE: The seeds will germinate right up until snowfall.
If you cannot dig these up in early winter (before snow fall), then dig them up before the plant seeds (usually around September-October (Northern Hemisphere).
MICROGREENS
You can even gather the seeds when they turn brown and store them and make micro-greens from them. "How to grow microgreens" 
Most adult plants have hundreds of seeds.
I have a 30 liter (8.25 gallon) sealable plastic drum almost almost full of "only" seeds which I have removed from the stems and branches.
WARNING
Never harvest, pick, gather or collect etc, Japanese Knotweed from the side of the road as many countries and councils list these as an invasive pest and spray them with chemicals.
If only they knew how much money they could make selling this plant instead of poisoning everything.
I also never buy from China given the toxic waste dump it has become.
REMEMBER if you buy the seeds from overseas, the seller must supply a valid PhytoSanitary Certificate for Customs clearance or else - in most countries - the seeds will still be destroyed if you are buying from overseas.

Lecithin
Lecithin plays an important role in normal metabolism, for example, forming part of membrane phospholipids, some metabolites are messengers in Cells, choline derived from lecithin plays a role in brain Cells in the resynthesis of new phosphatidylcholine molecules needed for Cells that envelop the axons of neurons. 
TIP: If you want to buy lecithin, please get the NON GMO lecithin.

Lions Mane
Lion's Mane (mushroom) is possibly one of the best kept secrets regarding cognitive maintenance.
WARNING: Lions mane is not for everyone, and while most people will benefit from taking Lion's Mane (especially in Tincture form), there are a few who react negatively to "Lions Mane" . (according to the US NIH)
I tincture mine and if you wish to do the same - because it is a heck of lot cheaper than buying the tincture - I suggest, as a test, that you buy 20 - 50 grams of Lions Mane "powder" only and tincture that with 1 x 750 "mls" bottle of 40% ABV (80 proof) vodka.
I mix mine at 250 grams of dry powdered Lions Mane, in a 4 or 5 liter HDPE "wide mouth" container with 3 x 750"mls" bottles of 40% ABV (80 proof) vodka. (TIP: do not fill the container)
Shake daily and you can start taking after 1 week (no need to wait 8 weeks because it is powder).
After 10 - 12 weeks I remove the solids (called the marc) using a regular large sized coffee paper filter, and add 50% to another 4 liter HDPE (food grade) container, then I fill both of these up with 40% ABV vodka.
This lasts 6 adults approx 6+ months.
MY COSTS
- 250 Grams (8.8 US Oz) Lions mane powder from Thailand approx $55 USD + postage.
- Vodka (40% ABV) @ $7 USD a bottle x 5 == $35 USD.
- The 4 liter food grade HDPE plastic containers costs around $6 each (many many years ago).
Ingesting Solids: Absorption problems are exacerbated if you have low stomach acid and you are not processing your food intake properly (this is a common occurrence with us older people).
Tinctures allow for faster absorption of the "nutrients" your body and brain need because there is minimal processing which the body needs to do to the now soluble components.
So what are my savings?
If you buys 60 Lions Mane capsules (tablets), you are looking at around $40 - $50 USD. This is enough for 1 person for 2 months.
So to buy capsules for 6 adults x 6 bottles per year == between $1,440 USD - $1,800 USD for 12 months.
Now lets compare my costs.
- 6 "Older" adults in my immediate family
- Home Made tincture strength and potency is much greater than store bought products.
- Above formula typically lasts 7 months but for this example, lets say just 6 months for 6 adults.
$70 USD for Vodka (8 x 750 mls) + $55 USD for 250 grams of Lions mane.
$70+$55==$125 USD a year compared to buying tinctured Lions Mane for (best price) $1,440 - $1,800 USD a year.
NOTE
Most Lions Mane products you buy commercially are mixed with another herb like cilantro etc and they are much more diluted than I personally make.
TIP
When you start taking Lion's Mane, take a few drops at a time, and see if you get any reaction to the Lions Mane.
You should always do a test on any new tincture you start taking.
If you do get a negative reaction, stop taking it immediately.
If you do not get a negative reaction, buy more and keep in cool dark storage.
It will easily store for 4 years with 40% ABV (80 proof) in a cool dark place.
Keep Cool because if you store in a warm place, this will cause alcohol evaporation and thus lower shelf life.
DOSAGES: I take between 1-2 "mls" a day (1-2 droppers).
If you have serious brain / memory problems, then you can also take higher doses for example: (1/2 to 1 regular sized Teaspoon daily or even twice a day).
For every 100 lbs (45Kg) of body weight, then 1 ml a day is often suggested.
Higher Dosage Rates: 5 - 10 "mls" a day.
Lithium Orotate
Lithium Orotate is one of the best kept brain health secrets.
Lithium Orotate literally stimulates new brain cell growth.
The benefits of Lithium Orotate supplementation is increased with "Meditation" which also stimulates brain cell growth and increases cognitive enhancement.
Another Force Multiplier
Another force multiplier to meditation is Water Fasting which stimulates even more new brain cell growth. According to "Dr. Valter Longo" who is the Edna M. Jones Professor of Gerontology and Biological Sciences and Director of the Longevity Institute at the University of Southern California. + fasting for longer than 5 days has shown to stipulate new brain cell growth.
Mango Leaf Neurogenesis
Modern science is catching up with ancient Ayurvedic medicine it seems - at least in small doses.
The Mammalian Adult Neurogenesis Gene Ontology (MANGO) Provides a Structural Framework for Published Information on Genes Regulating Adult Hippocampal Neurogenesis. 
Acute Effects of a Polyphenol-Rich Leaf Extract of Mangifera indica L. (Zynamite) on Cognitive Function in Healthy Adults.

How to use
Pick off healthy leaves + wash in cold water + dehydrate naturally + then make into a tincture at 3:1 (3 alcohol to 1 leaf powder).
If you use the whole leaf, then let soak (steep) for at least 2-3 weeks.
I use an ordinary blender to blend mine. Just add (1/3 rd) leaves and then add Vodka (40% alcohol is all you need).
40% == ABV or 80 proof.
If you are using powdered Mango Leaf, you can decant a small amount, strain through a paper coffee filter and then start using some in as little as 24 hours.
Magnesium L-Threonate
Magnesium L-Threonate crosses the (BBB) "Blood Brain Barrier" and Magnesium is important for both the body and brain.

NAC
NAC helps to replenish glutathione levels in the body. It also aids in regulating glutamate.
These functions may help to improve brain health and benefit people with conditions such as Alzheimer's and Parkinson's diseases.

Potassium Gluconate
Potassium is a critical electrolyte which I have found to be extremely beneficial especially for stress and heart health.
If you are doing any Fasting, then you should be talkin this for at least 2-3 weeks before you start fasting.
WARNING
Many medications limit your Potassium intake to just 90mgs a day.
The "Potassium RDI" for adults is approx. **
- Adult Males 3,400 mgs
- Adult Females 2,600 mgs
If you are on medications, please ask your doctor before taking Potassium.

Rosemary
Rosemary is another one of the best kept brain health secrets.
Rosemary comes with a WARNING.
Rosemary is very very potent so 1 drop - twice - a day is all you need.

Sugar removes many Minerals including "Trace Minerals" from the body and brain.
I find it better to have these Trace Minerals in me.

Turmeric
Turmeric is well known (at least in India) to help remove heavy metals from the body and brain. Metals like aluminum, lead and cadmium to name a few.
"Turmeric" works very well with Chlorella which is a natural binding agent which helps partially stop these metals being reabsorbed by the body once they have been displaced.
The active ingredient is curcumin.
I try and take 1 teaspoon of Turmeric a day and at least 5 days a week.
TIP: If you are buying in bulk from India, you should strain the Turmeric (using a strainer) because you will often find leaves and sticks in the powder. At least that has been my experience.
You should consider talking this for at least 3 months before you do any serious Fasting.
You can meditate and take Turmeric at the same time.
WARNING
If you buy Turmeric OIL, make sure that you do not (not) use too much of it when cooking. It tends to have a nasty exit strategy if you take too much.

Glutathione
Glutathione is a very powerful antioxidant.
Milk Thistle (Silybum marianum) seeds make a natural Glutathione which is called "The Master Detoxer" and is especially good for liver health - as well as the rest of your body.
There are many different types of thistle.
The one I use to make tinctures from is called Milk Thistle (Silybum marianum).
I buy the seeds and blend them up in a blender and then I use a flour mill.
NOTE that many countries now require a "phytosanitary certificate" if you are importing "seeds" into your country so please ask the seller before you buy if they have a "phytosanitary certificate".
Otherwise your seeds will be destroyed.
PLAN B
Ask the seller if they can "grind up" the seeds into a powder for you.
This will get you around the phytosanitary certificate problem (if they can send you powdered seeds).
Just be aware that some "sellers" will add other things into your package as well (like stems and leaves etc).
I make a tincture from these seeds and take 5 - 20 mls a day (1 teaspoon - 1 tablespoon) depending on my health.
Exercise
The most important ingredient of healing is exercise. It stimulates blood flow around the body and helps with muscle tone and balance.
Interestingly, research by Harvard.edu shows that exercise (especially where you go outdoors and walk) helps to stimulate better cerebral cognition.
It is often recommended that you walk at least 2 Kms or 1.25 miles a day. (1Km == 5/8th of a mile)
Breathing
Most people will not understand how important breathing is - and most people actually breath incorrectly. Did you know that?
For example, shallow breathing does not "enhance your calm". In fact it keeps you off balance (mentally and emotionally).
I suggest buying a simple "Oxygen Meter" and testing your oxygen levels several times a day.
Keep a diary or an EXCEL spreadsheet of your test results.
If you suffer from sleep Apnea, try and test your oxygen levels as soon as you wake up. Many people have Apnea problems if they snore.
Your ideal blood oxygen level should be around 98.
What about exercise?
Most people breath faster when they exercise, walking, running, swimming, jumping, etc.
However, when you are super fit (as I was until I was 28), and you can run at a "steady pace" - your heart rate barely moves.
In the Army, we were given a weekly fitness test. I do not drink or smoke. My heart rate results were consistently between 72 - 76 while the other guys who did drink and smoke (either or both - usually both) would be over 100 for heart rate.
My results were also in part because my meditation teacher at the time taught me how important controlled breathing was. So I used to practice controlled breathing even when running.
Why
I am putting this here so that you can see it can be done. I had a teacher who told me to (just) do it.
NOTE: If you are exercising, I suggest that you supplement with potassium daily so that this important electrolyte will help keep your heart heathy. Magnesium and Sea Salt are also vitally important.
Deep & Slow
Your breathing should be deep and slow, breath in slowly down to your solar plexus (belly button) and slowly exhale.
When you get good at doing this, it will become part of your regular breathing style.
This helps keep you much more mentally balanced and less reactionary. You should also note that successful people are "usually" very cautious in their responses and this is either an innate mechanism or a learned mechanism.
Controlled breathing affects many aspects of your life. Please consider.

Pranayama is a series of ancient breathing techniques which are used in advanced meditation. You can find out more about "Pranayama" breathing here.
Oxygen Meter
You can buy an Oxygen Meter from and they come in all shapes and colors.
Glycine
Lugols Iodine bonds to Glycine for better absorption.
According to Dr Stephanie Seneff, "Glycine" and "MSM Sulfur" also helps detox Glyphosate.
Glycine is also a crucial amino acid the body needs.
Amino Acids
Our bodies need Amino Acids and I use the Amino Complete from "iHerb.com" 
Coconut Oil
The book by "Mary T. Newport MD" is very interesting.
The Coconut Oil and Low-Carb Solution for Alzheimer's, Parkinson's, and Other Diseases: A Guide to Using Diet and a High-Energy Food to Protect and Nourish the Brain.
She claims that Coconut Oil helps her husband who has Alzheimer's.
While this "claim" is not endorsed by the US Alzheimer's Assn, I feel that Dr Newports version holds more credence because she has a vested interest in helping her husband get better.
Anyway, I like the taste especially with salmon and omelets etc. I even like Coconut oil and Vinegar on my salads.
TIP: Make sure that it is cold pressed and NOT HEAT Pressed - plus it should have a strong but pleasant coconut bouquet (scent).
MSM Sulfur
Dr Stephanie Seneff has found that MSM Sulfur is important for the electrical conductivity of the body. 
Since the body and brain are all electrically driven, I also take MSM sulfur as well as SO4.
Personally I like Dr Seneff - despite her critics. She is unpretentious and seems to genuinely care about helping people.
According to Dr Stephanie Seneff, Glycine and MSM Sulfur also helps detox Glyphosate.
Poached Eggs
Poached Eggs contain Choline for the myelin sheaths in the brain and nerves and also Cholesterol for liver health.
Cissus Quadrangularis
Cissus Quadrangularis is well known in Herbal Medicine as a Bone Genesis herb, but it also helps heal cells - and the brain is made up of cells.
I make this into a tincture at 4:1 using 40% ABV vodka.
Sweetflag
Sweetflag (Acorus tatarinowii) has been used in Traditional Chinese Medicine ("TCM" ) for many centuries to tread brain ailments.
I make this into a tincture at 4:1 using 40% ABV vodka.
IboGaine (Tabernanthe iboga)
IboGaine is a plant based (shrub) medicine which originated in the Central African country of Gabon - and is promoted in Mexico and other countries for people who suffer brain damage.
IboGaine is also heavily promoted as a potent NeuroGenesis medicine - but beware of the side effects.
Please read this carefully.
IboGaine performs several functions, some are highly beneficial and some are not.
IboGaine "also" has psychoavtive effects so it MUST BE taken in very small doses - and since I do not have your personal information like blood type, body weight, allergy records or your diet data, I am not makeing any suggestions or recommendations regarding dosage rates.

Iboga: This is the name for the psychoactive substance extracted from the root of the Tabernanthe iboga plant (shrub).
NeuroGenesis: IboGaine has been shown to produce rapid neurogenesis in as little as a few weeks with many patients - but for some people, it takes longer.

If you are taking too much lions mane a day and you start to develop headaches, please consider cutting back to 1 ml (1 dropper) a day and ONLY 5 days a week.
This headache problem seems to be worse with people who have not "detoxed" their body and brain.
What To Do Next
The capsules and tablets and powders I take as directed.
The herbs I make into Tinctures so that I get a more potent and immediate benefit.
Normally I would take 1-2 mls a day but because of my accident last year, I have increased my dosage rate and now I take between 5 - 10 "mls" (1-2 teaspoons) of the each tinctures a day. I take these with plain water.
Remember that I suffered severe brain damage in May 2023 so I really needed to do something dramatic to get my brain working again.
Lucky for me, I was already taking most of these herb supplements already.

Lactate
When your body is low on oxygen, it produces something called "Lactate" which also sitimulates NeuroGenesis via BDNF (brain derived neurotrophic factor).
SEVERE WARNING
There are Buddhist breathing techniques which stimulate this "Lactate" production - and which I will not include here because there are too many stupid people in this world and this technique requires months of training "AFTER" you have mastered "Controlled Meditation". 
I strongly recommend (suggest) that you do not try these techniques because the herbs and other methods I list above are much safer and give faster results without any negatives.
Hydrogen + Exercise
Ara et al. demonstrated that the increased antioxidative activities induced by loading of Hydrogen Water attenuated exercise-induced chronic fatigue in mice.
Aoki et al. indicated that the intake of Hydrogen Water suppresses acute fatigue as well as an increase in blood lactate (La) levels during exercise in elite athletes. + 
It should also be "stressed" that this works better in Healthy People.
SUMMARY
If you drink Hydrogen Water before and during exercise, you get more benefits including NeuroGenesis.

BDNF
BDNF (Brain-Derived Neurotrophic Factor) is a protein that supports the growth, and development of neurons, (NeuroGenesis) acting as an important regulator in the nervous system's functions such as learning, memory, mood, and neurogenesis.
It binds to receptors like TrkB, triggering pathways that influence synaptic connections, neuronal plasticity, and the creation of new neurons.
In studies, low BDNF levels have been linked to neurological and psychiatric conditions, including depression and neurodegenerative diseases. 
In my opinion - the subject of brain health and regeneration is so important that I have included a substantial "BDNF" reference page.
While BDNF is important for brain health, its effects may be multiplied when you include other factors, such as:
- Lithium Orotate (max 5mgs a day)
- Meditation or Prayer (at least 30 minutes a day minimum)
- Lion's Mane - tinctured (Mushroom)
- Bacopa monnieri - tinctured (aka: Brahmi)
- Milk Thistle SEEDS - tinctured (Silybum marianum
)
- Rosemary - tinctured (1 mil a day only)
- Iodine (2% once a day)

How To Stimulate BDNF Production ↟↟
There is a lot of good and useless information about how to stimulate BDNF in the brain.
There are several main ways you can stimulate BDNF.
- Exercise (especially intense cardio and weights)
- Supplements as listed above

- Oxygen Deprivation (acute hypoxia)
- Reading
- Meditation or Prayer (min of 30 minutes a day)
Oxygen Deprivation (Acute Hypoxia) ↟↟
I am listing this here so that you do not do stupid things.
The method, IT IS IMPORTANT THAT YOU DO THIS ON THE EXHALE FOR MAXIMUM RESULTS
Steps:
- Sit comfortably
- Wear loose clothing and No shoes or socks
- Breathe in (inhale) and then Breathe OUT (exhale) and
- HOLD your exhale for 15 seconds (use this timer) "15 Second Ping"

- Repeat
- Only do this with someone who is carefully monitoring you.
Acute Hypoxia (Oxygen deprivation) 
Once you get good at holding your breath for 15 seconds, try doubling it to 30 seconds.
ONLY use the exhale as this gives you faster results.
Your lungs only absorb approximately 1/3 of the oxygen that you inhale so holding your nreath with full lungs is completely useless.
WARNING: DO NOT DO THIS LONGER THAN 60 SECONDS WITHOUT MEDICAL SUPERVISION.
NOTE
You can get almost the same results using 30 seconds and it is a lot safer.
STRONG SUGGESTION
I would stronhly suggest that you buy and take some Potassium and Magnesium for at least 7 - 10 days before trying this - so that there is less stress on your heart.
WARNING
DO NOT DO THIS technique if you have a heart condition.

The Brain Song
The Brain Song is a tone using a "Binaural Beats" player, and I am really NOT a fan of binaural beats.
There are many reasons, including logic.
If you really want to stimulate spatial awareness, I would suggest that you started "Chanting" the Mano Budhi mantra.
The "Mano Buddhi Mantra" has been tested on brain oscillating machines and shown to work in the Gamma Range for a prolonged period of time (while chanting).
On the "Binaural Beats" I cover the potential detrimental mental side effects which "may" occur if you use the wrong frequency or frequencies).
You may also like to read the "528 Scam" page as well which is also about binaural beats.
If you are a long time meditator and you start using binaural beats, your body (in most cases) will quickly tell you when something is wrong - especially when the frequency disturbs your "calm".
Think of it as if someone you do not know gives you some pills and tells you that they are good for you and 2 heads, 6 eyes and after your genitals have fallen off, you realize that they did not tell you the truth because they were simply repeating something they read on a click bait website.
The Brain Song reviews.
When someone is naturally reviewing "something", they usually inject some kind of emotive nuances into their review.
Another point I noticed is that all of the video reviews all say to buy from the original website. While this may be a salient point to be honest, it is not usually injected into any review I have ever done or most of the ones I have seen (in most cases).
And then there is the emotionless robotic voices they use accompanied by the expressionless faces.
10 seconds or 17 minutes???
At one point they promote just 10 seconds a day - and then in the same video, they tell you it takes 17 minutes a day. Both cannot be true.
The Brain Song sales pitch has an almost identical patter (sales pitch) as the "The Genius Wave" product. This may just be a remarkable coincidence - Even though they both sell for exactly $39 USD.
BDNF is actually a real scientific discovery but when I checked the supposed institutes the ads calim to have "made" these discoveries, this is what I get.
While the following "institutions" which both of these "products" claim to have done studies proving the 10 seconds a day is all you need - may have done BDNF studies - I cannot find anything specifically pertaining to sound waves, brain song or stimulat frequencies.

Stock Photo Doctor
Both websites use the same photo stock image of someone they call "Dr. James Rivers" and yet I cannot find anything at all on the NASA website regarding this person, not even an image.
In fact, not even good has any images of this supposed "doctor" other than the ones on both of these Brain Wave promoting websites.
Try it yourself: Open "GOOGLE Images" and then drag and drop one of the images below into the SEARCH.
You can either "Drag and Drop" the image of "download" it and then upload manually to the google images site.
You can drag the images on display and note the images are thumbnails - and the actual images are larger - I just made their widths smaller for aesthetics.
Plus I have removed the backgrounds so that there is no discrepency of photo blurring or interference.
I have included the 3 most common image formats so that there can be no arguments if I only posted a PNG image but there were JPG images available.
I hope that this is comprehensive enough for you to ascertain the truth of this product for yourself.

However, and I repeat what I said at the beginning of this segment, learn to meditate and use the Mano Buddhi mantra for genuine results.
Think of meditation like this.
When you wake up in the morning you eat something regardless of the time. That meal will only sustain you to a certain point.
Then you must eat again.
Meditation (and genuine prayer) is exactly the same, you have to repeat the process daily for maximum results.

Glycine And NAC Update ↟↟
According to some of the latest research as of 2025, Glycine and NAC (when combined) are showing very positive cognitive improvements in test subjects (usually mice).
You should NOTE that NAC is a pre-cursor to Glutathione (The Master Detoxer) and Glycine is an Amino Acid (a particularly critical one for all uses).
Glycine chelates minerals when bonded to the minerals and thus allowing greater absorption.

If you are into natural medicine, you may like to know that "Tinctured" "Milk Thistle" (Silybum marianum) seeds are a potent source of natural Glutathione. + + 
NAC is very bitter to take, and kids do not like it (generally speaking).
