Top Why use a Vedic Mantra?

1st Lesson for beginners.

If you start meditating and you start continuiously yawning - this is good - because it shows that your blocked energies are being moved and unblocked.

Please keep going.

Most Common

Vedic Mantras are the most commonly known mantras - mainly due to TV and movies.

Possibly THE most famous is the word OM.

People generally use Vedic mantras because they are familiar with the sounds and secondly because they appear to be non-religious.

Despite the propaganda you see on TV etc, Buddhism is a path and NOT a religion per se.

India

Most people who have travelled to India and studied the various Vedic philosophies of India will understand, India (at first glance) appears to be a spiritually based country and in fact, this is more profound that you know.

Sadly, and in many cases, India has fallen a long way from the original seeds of enlightenment from which it originated - and most of this spiritual destruction has been caused by invaders from the north bringing their own dishonest and greedy mind-sets with them.

In a broad geographical sense, the country of India and surrounding lands were known as Bharat, India, (and Hindustan which technically refers to Northern India).

Then it was sub-divided into various countries.

The Sanskrit name for India is "Bharat" which loosely translated "also" means seeker of light (wisdom).

Thus the foundational basis of India is based on seeking knowledge.

Side Note: You may hear the expression "Jai Hind" which means "Free India" in modern parlance. "Jai Hind" is sometimes used as a mantra.

You may have heard of the Mahabharata - this translates as the great or epic poem of India.

Many Indian words have an "A" or "AH" on the end but these are often considered silent (or almost silent) just like the letter T in often.

Thus you may also hear the word Mahabharata pronounced as Mahabharat, or Buddha pronounced "Boud" but commonly referred to as "The-Boud" completely missing the HA sound on the end.

This applies to many other (Indian, Vedic, Sanskrit) words as well. Something to be aware of

Sanskrit has 13 core vowels (स्वर, svara), categorized as short (hrasva) and long (dīrgha), with some having extended (plural) forms, including basic vowels (अ a, इ i, उ u, ऋ ṛ, ऌ ḷ) and their long/diphthong counterparts (आ ā, ई ī, ऊ ū, ॠ ṝ, ऐ ai, ओ o, औ au).

These vowels are fundamental sounds, often with specific durations (mātrā), and are written in the Devanagari script today, forming the basis of Sanskrit syllables.

Devanagari (देवनागरी) is a widely used Indic script, an abugida (syllabic alphabet) that reads left-to-right, famous for writing Hindi, Sanskrit, Marathi, and Nepali, among many other languages.

Sanskrit is different from Kannada language and writing.

  1. Sanskrit in Sanskrit is संस्कृत (pronounced as Saṃskṛta).
  2. Kannada in Kannada is ಕನ್ನಡ (pronounced as Kannada).

While India (generally) is still a spiritual country, it has unfortunately fallen into disrepair

While there are still many who adhere to the spiritual teachings of their saintly teachers, we now see faux-gurus who are calling for the culling of humanity by forced global depopulation (mass genocide) and others who proclaim themselves as gods.

If you want depopulation, then raise the education level of women, because rarely do women want to have 10 or more babies and if you look at countries like Australia, America, Canada, UK, Japan and European countries where education is standard for boys and girls right through to University level if they want, you will see that the population decreases in every case.

Despite some of the pseudo-gurus in India, you can still find teachings by great and enlightened teachers like the Dalai Lama, Sai Baba, Adi Shankara

Adi Shankara was the "author" of one of the most famous poems in history called the Nirvana Shatakam Nirvana Shatakam

Top Best Known Vedic Mantras?

There are many well known Buddhist / Vedic Mantras and the ones I like are.

Oankaar ↟↟

Oankaar (O-an-kaar) is a Sikh word that means "God is One" or "There is only one God".

God is OneO'an'kaar == ''God is One'' == ''There is only one God''God is One

When saying this mantra, you should focus on unifying yourself and all of creation with the Supreme being as one entity.

The way to do this is to visualize every bit of physical matter and all of darkness reverting back into pure light.

You can say this aloud or silently and simply repeat the O'an'kaar for at least 30 minutes a day (per meditation session).

Note that IF you are meditating properly, 30 minutes will go past very quickly.

"O'an'kaar is a foundational cornerstone of Sikhism and is represented by the symbol , which is pronounced "Ik-Oankar" or "Ek-Ongkar"

Nirvana Soham ↟↟

"I am" in Sanskrit is Soham (सो ऽहम् so'hahm).

Meaning of NirvanaNirvana means a place of perfect peace and happiness.Meaning of Nirvana

SoHam sounds more like So-HUM - with a soft A.

So Nirvana SoHam literally translates as "I am nirvana" or "I Am a place of perfect peace and happiness".

Note that this is different from the Nirvana Shatakam Nirvana Shatakam mantra.

Om Tar'ae Tut'tare Tur'ae SoHa ↟↟

"Om Tare" Tut'tare Tur'ae SoHa is also a very common mantra in Tibet.

Short.

Om Ta'rae Tu-Ta'rae Tu'rae So-ha is often used on its own as a mantra to the Green Tara or in part as a "kind of" prefix to the other mantras.

Tara is commonly pronounced as Tar-ey.

The Green Tara Mantra is very popular in and may not be appropriate for Christians or people of other religious beliefs.

This mantra is dedicated to the .

When you are beginning to learn how to meditate it is acceptable to have some kind of mantra chanting "playing" in the background to help you build muscle memory.

However, this background chanting should only be for a few weeks maximum.

Remember that for many thousands of years, we did not have a playback device to listen to and everything worked just fine.

When I learned to meditate (properly), I was given a mantra, shown how to use it and told "Off you go". That was it.

has a lot more benefits over silent meditation (if done correctly).

When you get to advanced stages of meditation you must seek and listen to in order to progress higher, this is when uncontrolled meditation (like TM) or guided meditation etc will be completely useless to you.

Remember that the OM (AUM ) mantra comes in 4 parts and a very important part is the silence after you have said OM.

I explain all of this in the OM History Lesson just

This "Silence" is also known as the and it is in this place that you can truly edit your life.

This is the Source (The Makor) of your thoughts? This is what you need to learn to control.

And this is why only can help you with advanced stages of meditation.

Some say that the "Om" (Aum) stimulates the 3rd eye chakra - but you should feel this sound / vibration travel through and transcend your entire body, mind and soul if you want to get the proper benefits from the OM.

So if you only focus on the 3rd eye, then you will miss out on many other experiences you may have (if done correctly).

Others say that at the dawn of creation, from emptiness there emerged the first sound which consisting of the first primordial sound - Om.

THE Zen problem I have with this "teaching" is that IF the AUM is comprised of 4 components (see ), then this supposed primordal sound could not have been a singular entity.

Why do I say this?

Because if you just say OM as a short (abrupt) mantra and do not take your thoughts and mind back to the beginning of Creation, then you are missing out on travelling the golden highway of the mind.

You may have heard of "Pearls of Wisdom", well - when you travel the golden highway, you find diamonds, rubies, emeralds, black opal, red opal and many other precious "wisdoms" along the way, also. (metaphorically speaking)

If you are tech savvy, an example of this would be the hum of your computer when you turned it on. It resonates in pulses.

FYI: The OM mantra - when chanted properly by you - "may" attune you to your body's specific Resonance.

You will know when you have the right "pitch" because your whole body will vibrate - and you can magnify this effect by focusing on The Creator and drawing down the "healing" Light from The Creator.

If you can visualize, then see this light coming down and displacing any darkness within your body.

You may also be interested in why is more beneficial for beginners than silent meditation or prayer.

Chanting is good to get you to the stage where you can do silent meditation or prayer more effectively and much more powerfully.

But first you need to start at the basics which is chanting OM.

OM | AUM - A Secret History Lesson ↟↟

2 secrets to the OM mantra I will reveal here.

  1. Om Secret 1 Om Secret 1
  2. Om Secret 2 Om Secret 2

Om Secret One ↟↟

1) When you say OM (Aum), this is what you need to focus on.

First there was absolute silence.

Then there was AUM which comprises of 3 (+1) segments + Visualization + Stillness.

1) A = Aka'ar which represents the primordal vibration which caused the beginning of creation.

2) U = U-Ka'ar (Oo-Ka'ar) which represents the vibration which causes the preservation, expansion and sustaining of the universe.

3) M = Maka'ar which represents the eventual detruction of Creation - back to its original source.

4) + then the Silence.

The "Silence" exists before and after each AUM is created and destroyed.

When you say the AUM (om), visualize the 3 parts as you are verbalizing them.

Visualize travelling on a golden highway back to the beginning of Creation - BUT do not visualize this highway as solid gold as you know it.

This golden highway is made of sparkling, shimmering, iridescent golden light which is a similar concept to the Rainbow Bridge in Mythology.

Then You become the "Stillness" at the end of "Each" OM (Aum).

This "stillness" requires (wrong word) NO thoughts or distractions.

The correct word is "IS".

It means that you literally "become" the silence / stillness - the

And you do this every time you chant the AUM mantra.

In Kabbalah, it is referred to as

3rd Eye

Many people try and use OM (AUM) to force open their 3rd eye. This is the same folly as

If you are using "OM" (AUM) to open your 3rd eye be aware that what you see will depend upon your personal level of honesty and truth.

I was taught that trying to force the 3rd eye open is not advisable and when you are ready, then it will open naturally.

BTW: While it may be called the 3rd eye, it is NOT really an eye per se.

Imagine a ball of radiating light which has intelligence and can see 360 degrees in all directions. Now make that "eye" see multi-dimensional.

This is closer to what the 3rd eye feels like even though you may perceive it as being inside your head.

Also, some things which may interfere with your pituitary gland and thus your ability to utilize your Third Eye - and you need to detox these first.

Plus while your 3rd Eye is not actually an eye per se, all of the things listed below can impede your meditations and any associated experiences.

I will write more about the 3rd eye for advanced meditatiors at a later date,

They include:

  • Detox Fluoride
  • Detox Chlorine
  • Detox Aluminum
  • Detox Synthetic hormones like the endocrine disruptor Bisphenol-A (BP-A)
  • Detox Mercury
  • Detox Sugar (Sugar removes critical trace minerals from the brain)
  • Detox Copper
  • Detox Glyphosate
  • Detox Lead
  • Detox MicroPlastics
  • Detox Opioid Addiction with
  • See Detox list

If you suffer from "extreme burn-out" caused by extreme jobs such as driving or heavy work loads (Meditation helps + Zinc + Copper (Tablets), Magnesium (1 teaspoon a day), Lithium Orotate (5mg a day), MSM Sulfur (1 teaspoon a day) and Potassium (1 teaspoon a day).

You also need to stop all sugar because this robs your brain of critical trace minerals.

Also - if you drink water which has been treated with Chlorine, then this is a halogen (fluorine, chlorine, bromine, iodine, and astatine) and the chlorine interferes with both your Thyroid and your Brain and this can be fixed by taking 1 or 2 drops of Iodine (2%) before meals. Usually takes 4 - 10 weeks for results depending on your age.

Short

Advanced: Note the extended AUM and then the "pause" at the end of each mantra.

There is a very important reason for these 2 events.

If you disregard the background music, this is a great sound to practice the Om Mantra.

Om Secret Two ↟↟

Several of my teachers have told me to articulate my mantras slowly and concisely (for greater benefits), but none explained the (modern) terminology associated with the process.

When you say AUM (or any word / syllable) correctly, you create a vibration throughout your body and especially in your head.

This "head" vibration releases Nitric Oxide via your nasal passage which helps give you a more euphoric meditation experience - especially if you do not eat much food.

If you want the scientific explanation, covers this in elaborate detail.

Humming

This slow enunciation of each word helps create a humming and there is another benefit to this humming.

It helps align your entire body to 1 (+-) frequency. This helps create stability and harmony in areas that science has yet to discover.

It is only by having this stability that you have the "potential" to do advanced meditations.

This becomes your foundation upon which you can build your spiritual house.

Om Mani Padme Hum is possibly the second most popular mantra in the World.

Om Mani Padme Hum is the mantra of compassion to benefit all living beings in the Universe.

Om Mani Padme Hum is considered a condensed essence of all Buddhist teachings and associated with Avalokitesvara, the Bodhisattva (ascended enlightened being) of Compassion.

How important is Om Mani Padme Hum?

Buddhist Nun Speaks After 45 Years of Solitary Retreat - I will let tell you herself.

Ketzin Ani displays the same virtues as Anandamayi Ma. + + "She is where she always has been".

Ketzin Ani reveals 2 secrets that most of you will miss.

  1. Ketzin Ani prays and meditates with focused dedication using ()
  2. She prays and meditates for the ascension of all - Thus helping to the Universe.

The following meaning is what I was taught.

  • Om represents the primordial first sound
  • Mani represents the Jewel of compassion to you and others and helps dispel negative emotions
  • Padme symbolically represents the Wisdom of opening of the divinely pure (immaculate) lotus flower which associates you with this purity
  • Hum represents Your connection to the divine

Top Mano Buddhi Mantra

Mano Buddhi Mantra == Gamma Oscillation Waves.

A study done on the has shown this mantra to stimulate "prolonged" Gamma Oscillation Waves in the brain compared to most other mantras which rarely if even help you attain Gamma levels.

It should be noted that many scientists are not very bright - especially in naming nomenclature arena - because people often get Gamma Radiation waves and Gamma Oscillation waves mixed up. This may be because there are only 5 letters in Their Greek alphabet?

This is not sarcasm, it is just very annoying trying to repeatedly explain the difference between the 2 "Gamma's" and see so many people literally "turned off" because they simply do not believe you. I have found that not everyone has the capability to do independent research.

Gamma Radiation is bad while Gamma Oscillation is good.

The Mano Buddhi Mantra is like finding a 10 tonnes (22,000 + lbs) lump of gold in your garden.

When I was very young, it was claimed that our brains had 4 "wave" stages. These being Alpha, Beta, Theta and Delta. We were told that Alpha, Theta and Delta were the Stages of Sleep while Beta was the waking and thinking level.

Then it was "said" that these may be sub-divided. For example: Alpha Waves ( while some say just to be more confusing) The fact that there is a difference between 8 and 13 (or 7 - 13) says that there is a sliding scale between 8 and 13.

Perhaps each "number" is actually a different level in itself?

It was assumed that everything between 8 and 13 was the same wave (obviously not) but until a separate distinction was "discovered", we had to accept the "accepted science" even though it appeared to be limited in scope.

I do not remember anyone talking about Gamma Oscillation Waves.

Gamma Oscillation Waves Baby ↟↟

Back in the 1970's and 1980's, Theta was the most commonly sort after state to attain.

While general "brain" Waves were discovered in the 1920's, their significance was not overly appreciated until many decades later.

In 1924, a German psychiatrist named Hans Berger purportedly recorded the first human brain electrical signals, or EEG (ElectroEncephalogram) signals at the University Hospital in Jena (Germany).

Berger reportedly kept his findings secret for five years, and it wasn't until 1929 that he published his initial findings.

Gamma Oscillation Waves are the highest form of brain wave activity discovered "so far" and they are named from the

NOTE: These Gamma Oscillation Waves have nothing to do with "ozone destroying" gamma radiation (gamma-rays) released in nuclear explosions or supernova events.

The 2 lines of the (the Mano Buddhi mantra) have been scientifically shown to increase Gamma Oscillation Waves in the brain (when properly) this may also be used as an independent stand alone mantra.

However, the Mano Buddhi mantra has shown these Gamma Oscillation Waves to be persistent during this specific meditation.

Note that the first letter "A" in the word "ahankara " is pronounced in the upper throat as a slight (soft guttural) exhale so it is almost silent + the last letter "A" is also pronounced the same way so it actually sounds silent after the letter "R".

So in English this sounds like a slight flutter before "ahankara" and no letter "A" at the end of ahankara like this aHANKARh.

Mano Buddhi ahankara chittani naaham

Note that the word "Bharat" she mentions - in the video - is the much older (pre-English) name for India. Interestingly, "Bharat" also has other meanings, including "One Who Bears Or Carries", "one engaged in search of light or knowledge", and also refers to a Vedic (circa 200 BCE) and may also refer to the legendary ancient (Mahabharata) who is different from the Bharata mentioned in the Ramayana.

"One Who Bears Or Carries" sounds a lot like the "Yoke Of The T..."?

It should also be noted that many "Vedic" words have a soft (almost silent) "A" on the end - and when anglicized, words in India like "Buddh" are more commonly referred to as Buddha or "Mahabharat" is better known as Mahabharata etc.

Those familiar with the expression "Yoke Of The Torah" will quickly note that it is similarly worded to "one who bears or carries".

I have seen this (kind of) expression in other texts as well suggesting something much greater is involved here.

If you are not arrogant and prideful, the Nirvana Shatakam mantra will resonate strongly in your heart - even if you do not know the words.

Top Who Is Shiva?

Lord Shiva (Hinduism) is one of the 3 emanations emerging from Lord Vishnu's "navel".

I am not saying that the Navel of Lord Vishnu is related to the but it is interesting that this seems to be a focal point across global generations and cultures.

I will not be going into the pantheon of "gods" (lower case g), but just these 2 examples which are interesting if you are doing any kind of Hindu or Buddhist studies.

It is of interest to note that in the "West" these "deities" are referred to as gods, but in the "East" they are more commonly referred to as "Lords".

The "East" shows more respect and less confusion than the "West" which often claims that every man and his dog is a god.

This shows - not only - a lack of respect and intelligence mainly from the media (movies, TV shows, online and print) - but it also corrupts the minds of people with the nasty side effect that some people thinking that "they" are god or "A" god.

When I lived in Israel I met several "messiahs" (who were not even Jewish so I do not know how that works), a couple of Moses and several other lesser known "entities".

One "messiah" guy had 2 squiggly lines on his arm which he claimed only the righteous could see and these were 2 number 6's and they looked more like round worm (ring worm) sign to me.

Did you know that most of the gods of old are actually

Shiva ↟↟

Shiva holds one of the most prominent roles in Hinduism as the god of destruction.

(the destroyer) is one of the three most important gods, alongside Brahma (the creator) and Vishnu (the preserver).

The Shiva sect holds that Shiva is the Supreme Being (Brahman) and all other deities are mere aspects (attributes) of Shiva.

NOTE that this "Brahman" deity has nothing to do with Brahman cattle.

It appears that these 3 "entities" are corresponding to the Kabbalistic "3 Mothers".

The Green Tara ↟↟

"Tara" in Sanskrit means "Star" (literally).

The different Taras are depicted in female form and many people associate them with - but this would be wrong.

The twenty-one Tara emanations range from peaceful to wrathful (destructive) forms.

Quick example:

Kali with 8 arms is a Black Sun with 8 planets.

But you also have a second Kali with 4 arms.

Dynastic Egyptians also record 2 Black Suns and one is called Isis and the other is called Nephthys (or Nebet-Het).

Nephthys is the sister to Isis and wife (and sister) of Set.

The Book of Revelations also discusses celestial visitors.

However, you need to know that the word "Tara" in Sanskrit actually means "Star" (again a celestial entity).

Just like many aspects of ancient Egypt, the Vedic system also contains associations - the difference is that the Vedic system is more open and honest about it.

The "Cedars Of Lebanon" is the Pleiades star cluster. Anubis (like the scArab beetle) represents a Black Sun which comes from the East bringing death and destruction. (Depending upon the Axial tilt of the planet at the time of approach) Further reading here on the page.

I think that the original Sphinx (Egypt) was Anubis because this is where "death" comes from (The East) - but Graham Hancock thinks that it was a

I think that it also "may" have been a Lion (in its second incarnation) but that was only after the first and original version was repaired before the Khafre version - which does not look like any versions of Khafre BTW.

The "Lion" appears in many ancient texts and drawings and perhaps, just perhaps, this is because that is where something came to our Solar System and caused a lot of damage to this planet.

Putting an Anubis head on top of a Lion's body tells you what and where.

The Mayans, Aztec, dynastic (Khemetic) Egyptian, Judaiac, Greek, Japanese, - , Sumerians and other "religions" all have large components. You just need to know how to unpack them.

The problem is...

The problem is that once you see it, you cannot un-see it and then you start seeing it everywhere. Like this page.

Top Asato Ma Mantra

The Asato Ma Mantra is a lot more complex than it appears.

On the surface it appears as a simple mantra but the secondary processes that must go with this mantra require multiple stages of discipline.

The first verse "Lead me from non-reality to reality" requires you to project your mind back before anything was created - back to the state called the Mind-Of-No-Mind.

The Mind-Of-No-Mind is "purportedly" the point that you have the potential to connect directly with The Creator.

The requires strict discipline and extraneous thought completely ruin this meditation.

The second verse.

The second verse, "Lead me from ignorance to knowledge" is only feasible if you can clear your mind completely.

However, there is a catch. This can only be done through the heart and your heart must be pure and then you have the

There is actually more than 1 "password" which must be "upon" on your heart - but the primary one is Love because that is also the name of "The Path" you must follow. The other main are here.

That password is Love. This must BE PURE and not contrived.

The third verse.

The third verse, "Lead me from mortality to immortality.".

Despite its word structure, this must be said without ego, vanity, arrogance or any other form of personal gain.

In fact, "anything" associated with the physical will deflect your journey and you will receive falsehoods instead of truth.

All of these things you must have in your foundation even before you start this mantra.

  3. Mrtyor'Mah Amrtam Gamaya
  4. Om Shanti Shanti Shanti

Interpretation

OM represents the universal sound from the beginning of creation.

I was taught that this world is perceived as an illusion and thus the "unreal", whereas the spiritual realm is the "True Reality" of existence.

Most people (except the rare few) are born in ignorance and it is their "path" in life to find and align with the truth.

Remember that the truth "IS" and this may differ from what you may have been taught or concluded.

We live is a world of perceived physicality and as such, most are bound by the laws of physicality. It is when you transcend the state of physicality that you have the potential to change the laws of the universe.

These laws have guidelines and guardians so for the greedy people reading this, The Creator is not as stupid as you think.

The meaning of verse 3 is asking for guidance (from The Creator) to help the person (you) ascend on the true path of peace, Love and righteousness.

Top Om Shanti Shanti Shanti

Om Shanti Shanti Shanti (ॐ शान्तिः शान्तिः शान्तिः)

There are many different "Shanti" mantras available, the one I have chosen is simple and focused, but more importantly, it repeats the core tenet of the mantra which is "peace" (Shanti) 3 times.

"OM" is the cosmic sound and Shanti means "Peace".

So this mantra is saying OM Peace, Peace, Peace.

Focus on this mantra, draw down the light of Creation by visualization when you do this mantra.

this for at least 30 minutes a day.

Top Simple Om Shanti Mantra

If you just want a simple Peace Mantra, then this may be what you are looking for.

Just meditate using this simple verse.

English, Sanskrit, Transliteration.

  1. Om, Peace, Peace, Peace.
  2. ॐ शान्तिः शान्तिः शान्तिः
  3. Om Shanti Shanti Shanti

Simply repeat "Om Shanti Shanti Shanti" as your primary mantra while focusing on the peace and love of the Creator descending down onto

Top Nirvana Shatakam

FYI: Sometimes people just need to relax and be in the moment - and sometimes relaxing music can help.

When sung correctly, Nirvana Shatakam is possibly the most beautiful mantra I have ever heard.

If you are new to meditation, Nirvana Shatakam (sometimes spelt Shatkam) may help you relax on stressful days.

Meaning of NirvanaNirvana means a place of perfect peace and happiness.Meaning of Nirvana

If you have been doing meditation for a long time, then your brain will (usually) resonate to this mantra.

I include the Nirvana Shatakam mantra because it is much more powerful than you can possibly imagine - especially when you understand the words.

I have created an entire page dedicated to the mantra which includes the lyrics.

In my opinion, is a very beautiful and relaxing "tune".

Final Note ↟↟

"Shivo'ham" (pronounced with a soft letter "A" which makes it sound like Hum) translates as "I am Shiva" but has a deeper meaning which is: "I am at one with Shiva". This is a dramatic difference in levels of awareness.

In Kabbalah, the concept of The Creator is that everything is "One" or Unity. This does not mean that someone "is" god per se only that we are all part of - and united with - The Creator.

This is part of the meaning of the Shema which says, "Shema Israel Adonai Elohay'nu Adonai EcHard" and .

Listed Israel, God is our God, God is One.

Otherwise how could we exist?

In Taoism, the word "Tao" (Dao / Gao) means "The Path" and there is NO separation from The Creator right down to us.
