Do We Really Have Free Will

To give a very simple explanation of free will, think of it like driving a car on a city street.

You can turn left, right, drive straight ahead, stop or even U-turn but the basic rule is that you must stay on your own side of the road.

You can travel on a plane from airport A to airport B but you cannot get off while the plane is in mid-air. Just basic logic really.

From what I have been taught, we have Free Will not only to think freely, but to act in a conscientious, humble and loving way which will determine whether or not your soul will survive after this "Universe Experiment" concludes.

It will also determine the pain and punishment your soul will endure for doing the wrong things. Further "reading."

Cube Universe Theory ↟↟

Have you heard of the "Cube Universe Theory"?

The Cube Universe Theory basically says that the beginning of time, the present time and the end of time are all one.

The Cube Universe Theory authors also suggest that this "conclusion" dictates that there cannot be free will because all things have already been decided.

To me, this shows a complete lack of belief in The Creator.

According to their "conclusion", we should all just stay in bed.

Another important point that they neglect to factor into their equation is that when you die (as I have twice), time dramatically slows down

For example, if you were to die for several minutes (on this side), it may appear to you that hours or even days have passed on the other side.

And this is just at one level above our current reality, imagine if this dramatic time dilation is even greater on other levels.

The Cube Universe Theory - while interesting - is just a theory and only works IF you allow for 3 extra things.

1. A Creator
2. A reason for Creation
3. The "Stretched Timeline Theory"

Also, their assumption of "no free will" is easily disproven when you consider that for them to admit that they are correct, it means that there "Must be" a Creator "God", which by its own volition, nullifies their conclusions - at least in part - because they do not know or understand the complexities "OF" the mind of the Creator ("God").

Their assumption is like someone - who you do not know - saying that they understand you and how you think, even though both of you have never met.

Let me give you the "building a House" example.

When you build a house, you need blueprints and materials with which to build that house.

Not all of the materials purchased will become part of the house and some will become "off-cuts" and either repurposed, discarded or dumped.

This is what I understand happens with souls as well.

According to some Vedic and Kabbalistic teachings I have received (no written references), not every soul makes it to the finish line. (allegorically speaking)

Therefore it is "our" responsibility to do the right thing during our physical lives or else the crocodile teeth of "Karma" will bite us. (allegorically speaking)

We have to stop this "waiting for the messiah" brain vacuum and start being the goodness we all know exists and that this world can be IF we all participate.

Time Per Se ↟↟

I was taught that "Time" per se is not what we think it is.

In fact, time (for example) at 8PM (PST US) is the same as 8PM (EST US) and this is the same 8PM as Greenwich (ZULU) time and this is the same 8PM in Singapore (etc).

This is because Time is relative to where you perceive yourself to be on a physical level and possibly on the "soul" level as well.

Since I have not personally gone past dying - this lifetime - I cannot offer substantive information regarding time above the first level of dying physically.

When "I Died" , I was gone for minutes (on this side) but on "the-other-side" it felt like many hours and many people say that days and even weeks felt like passing.

In fact, "gone for days" is a common experience.

And then you have the 1,000 years equals 1 day problem. +

This stretched timeline theory is one of the supporting "legs" behind the idea of the "Meditation Prayer" and the "Golden Mantra"

Some references about "souls" being cut off (refined).

When you refine any metal, you end up with something called Slag, which often used to be discarded.

Slag is still used to make pots and pans for cooking and the slag by-product is now also used for other purposes.
