Some Different Types Of Meditation
Brief Overview
Abundance Meditation
Abundance Meditation in simple terms is where you meditate on attracting abundance towards you - or someone else.
There is a warning to doing this meditation and that is DO NOT ask for money.
You can ask for abundance, or substance or increased livelihood etc but you cannot ask for money per se.
How to do this?
You need to use a "Positive Affirmation" mantra.
Simply change the words to fit your specific needs.
Acceptance Meditation
Acceptance Meditation is mainly for people with low self-esteem.
Often people do not accept themselves due to parental or society conditions, and yet these people seem to miss the fact that the Creator created them just as much as everyone else.

Advanced Meditation
As the name suggests, "Advanced Meditation" is for people who have been meditating for years.
You cannot jump from "Transcendental" into the advance level because your mind will not be strong enough to accept the things you may see.
What you see will depend on your own level of honesty.
I would strongly urge you to read the first section of the "Transcendental Meditation" page because it mostly applies to "Guided Meditation" as well and it explains why these techniques are a poor and misguided choice for people who want to have advanced experiences.
Please Remember that you only have one lifetime - at a time - so you need to maximize your souls chances of ascending and not coming back to this unkind level.
Consider more advanced levels like "Controlled Meditation" first and then when you have mastered that, you can move on to even more advanced techniques like "Yantra Meditation". 
But be warned, you need to have a purpose and you must have honest intentions.

Affirmation Meditation
Affirmation Meditation can best be described here on the "Positive Affirmations" page.
Positive Affirmations are a way of stimulating the "Laws of attraction" and incorporating positive events into your life.
Positive Affirmation Meditation
Positive Affirmation Meditation is where you focus your meditation "mantra" on either drawing something beneficial towards you or manifesting something beneficial for you or others.

Ascension Meditation
Ascension Meditation is another advanced meditation technique which enables the worthy to ascend up to places like the Akashic Records, or the Heavenly Academy for higher learning.
You must be absolutely conversant with "Controlled Meditation" and "Breathing Meditation" (like "Pranayama" ) in order to do this method.
You also cannot eat any animal products (food) because when you do, you absorb the soul level of that animal which limits your ability to be a fully sentient being.
In order to ascend to these spiritual locations, you must have "The Secret Passwords" spiritually inscribed on your soul.
In other words, you must be a good person to start with.
Quick Prana Question. How many atoms in 1 cubic meter at sea level? Answer: At sea level, there are approximately 5.4 x 10^25 atoms in one cubic meter of air @ "1 atmosphere". 
Astral Meditation
Astral Meditation is best done by sitting or laying down.
You should be proficient in at least 1 form of controlled meditation so that you can use this as your anchor.

Aura Meditation
Aura Meditation is best done as a Chakra Meditation
where you focus on your Chakras in order to heal them and thus your body.
Strengthening your Aura (BioPhoton Field) helps protect you from psychic attacks and negative energies from negative people.
You go home feeling more grateful, loved and spiritually clean at the end of every day.
Beach Meditation
This technique is known by several names including:
- Beach Meditation
- Ocean Meditation
- Gurdjieff Meditation

Beginners Meditation
The Beginners Meditation information I provide "here" will help save many of you a lot of wasted years.
You only have this lifetime (now) so please do not waste your time on inane mantra methods.
Bible Meditation
Bible Meditation is where you meditate on verses in the bible.
I cover this down in the Religious Meditation section.
Possibly the best source of texts to utilize for this meditation is the book of "Psalms" and more information here on how they may actually help you reduce your Karmic debt.
This process must be done daily.

BioPhoton Meditation
"BioPhotons" are what they now call your Aura.
TIP: BioPhotons can be dramatically enhanced - and may even be physically felt - when you truly love someone and you are meditating with them.
Firstly, you need to "Synchronize Your Energy" and then do controlled breathing together while focusing on the Love of The Creator.
Feel this love manifest in your heart and extend it towards your partner (or others in your group).
When they reciprocate, you should physically feel a tangible connection of diffused light with the other person.
TIP: Focus on Deuteronomy - Chapter 6: v5.
And you shall love the Lord, your God, with all your heart and with all your soul, and with all your essence.
Interestingly Deuteronomy - Chapter 4: v4 tells you the outcome of using the above mantra.
But you who cleave to the Lord your God are alive, all of you, this day.

Breathing Meditation
Breathing Meditation is the foundation of all meditation methods - or it should be.

Cathartic Meditation
Cathartic Meditation was the original form of what became the bastardized version renamed as "Dynamic Meditation" in which men, women and especially children became exploited in all forms.

Chakra Meditation
Chakra Meditation involves focusing on your "Chakras" , and infusing them with light in order to heal and strengthen them.
Once you are conversant with healing your own Chakras, then you may be able to focus on "Chakra Healing" other people.

Chanting Meditation
Chanting Meditation is simply where you physically say the mantra using your voice.
Chanting helps the vibration pass through your entire body compared to Silent meditation where there is no physical vibration.

Child Meditation
"Child Meditation" is sometime difficult because children have such active minds.
I have more information of How To and some of The Benefits for children when they Meditate
The younger you start your meditation with your children, they greater the benefits when they are at school.
As soon as your baby is born, you can place them on your chest and do chanting meditation (like OM) so that the vibration passes through their body as well as yours.
You can also recite anything to your babies and they will absorb this and utilize it later in life - things like music, math, geography, science, herbal medicine etc all gets sponged into their brains - This is how they learn to speak in the first place.
While starting your babies to get used to meditation from Day 1 Week 1 is ideal, you can actually teach "Child Meditation" from almost any age so long as they are not spoilt.
Color Meditation
Color Meditation is a good technique for people who have Synesthesia.
When you combine this with Chakra Meditation - you will typically get much greater benefits from your meditations than us regular folk.
If you do have Synesthesia, then you can also do regular "Controlled Meditation" as well.
Compassion Meditation
Compassion Meditation is where you meditate of being compassionate or "more compassionate".
Typically people who are very spiritual will do this kind of meditation.
This is one of the secret techniques of expediting the evolution of the soul.
Compassion Meditation is a great starting focus point if you want to also do the advanced "Unity Meditation" method.
Contemplative Meditation
Contemplative Meditation is a very advanced method of analyzing every thought speech and action you did or caused during the day.
Even more advanced levels talk about any actions "caused" by you as being relevant to your "Contemplative Meditation" as well.
Controlled Meditation
Controlled Meditation is (IMO) the best staring meditation method available.
Doing meditation techniques which allow you to wander off and follow any and every useless thought is a complete waste of your life (in my humble opinion).
REMEMEBR that you only have a VERY limited time on this planet and you have no idea when your time "is up" so why waste your time thinking about things which little to no impact on your life?
"Controlled Meditation" is absolutely needed id you want to do any advanced meditation methods.
Couples Meditation
Couples Meditation is obviously for 2 people. However, you have multiple choices of which type of meditation you can do.
Suggestion 1, bathe first, then "Synchronize Your Energy". 
Suggestion 2 is to do this before you do any "Horizontal Folk Dancing" and use your sexual energy to have a much more intense experience every time you meditate together.
After that, you can try regular mantra meditation such as "Controlled Meditation" or you may like to try something more intimate such as BioPhoton-Meditation

Fire Meditation
Fire Meditation is also called Tumo (Tummo) meditation.
Tummo "Fire" Meditation is a technique which evokes your Chi energy to help you stay warm.
I show you one technique that I was taught and used very effectively here. "Tummo Fire Meditation" 
Forest Bathing Meditation
Forest Bathing Meditation is actually a lot more complex than you may realize.
Forest Bathing Meditation is a Japanese practice called Shinrin-yoku 森林浴 (forest bathing) which - in Japan - is often associated with a direct or indirect form of meditation.
- 森林 (shinrin, "forest")
- 浴 (yoku, "bath, bathing)
In Japanese, Yoku is simply a different word for bath like in English we have "Bath and Bathe" - and in modern Japanese you would more commonly hear the word for bath or bathe being "Ofuro" (お風呂).
Direct or Indirect
- Direct meditation is where you literally sit in the bush or on grass and meditate.
- Indirect meditation is where you go into the "forest" or "park" and simply relax and try and go into the mental state of no-mind. (a relaxed mental state)
Similar in concept to how we describe "Sun Bathing".
WARNING: Please do not do this Forest Meditation in a remote or isolated location where you may encounter someone who may harm you or a wil animal which may harm you.
You can easily do this meditation in a park or even more safely - your back yard.
You Must Have Skin Contact With The Ground and plants - which are growing directly from the ground.
One of the main benefits of Forest Meditation is that it is very "Grounding" for any disturbed, agitated or out-of-sync energy you may have - which is usually related to "one of" the main causes of stress.
In fact, it is generally understood by most Japanese that touching trees and nature is highly beneficial due to its "Grounding" effect on the body, mind and thus soul.
A typical mantra is often used (like OM) or even a simple mind clearing exercise while in the "forest".
The benefits of this "technique" may also be obtained simply by sitting bare-footed in a park since the object of the exercise is to come in contact with living plants which are growing out of the ground.
While the "forest" may sound more mysterious and thus alluring, just remember that nasty critters - including snakes - typically live in forests and wilderness places.
Concrete Jungle
If you live in the Concrete Jungle and you are always stressed, simply try walking barefoot in your local park 2 or 3 times a week. Therapeutic grounding is better known as "Ground Therapy". 
Heck, you can even just hug a tree for a few minutes - several times a week - to discharge negative energy build up from your body.
Ideally, however, a solid 10 - 20 minutes sitting (meditating) on grass or walking barefoot around your back yard is the best option. Anywhere you have natural grass or plants growing out of the ground.
So, How Does It Work? ↟↟
Most people think of plants as simple dumb "things" with no intelligence at all.
One thing I learnt back in around 1978 was that plants can communicate after I saw a documentary of how plants respond to baroque music.
So I meditated on this and came to the realization that it was correct. No electronic gizmos or devices, just simple meditation in the bush.
It was kind of like knowing something "just because" it was true.
When you meditate for a while - different per person - you become more in tune with your body (if you are not on mind bending psychotropic medications). This heightened connection allowed me to notice the subtle difference between meditating in my room and meditating in the bush (forest).
Meditating with plants (including simple Forest Bathing) helps you be grounded (earthed) and allows you to discharge any negarive energy buildups.
So how do I know that plants communicate?
Back in 1978 people thought that I was nuts but now days we have lots of actual scientific studies confirming the interactions between many different plant species.

If you are into organic farming, then this may help you reduce pests naturally.
The Real Question ↟↟
After watching this 15 minute video on "The Language of Plants" - (Short version), the real questions no one seems to ask are:
- Q1 "HOW" does the plant know which molecule - or other - to release specifically for a specific event?
- Q2 is How does the receiving plants translate this information into some kind of relevant action?
- Q3 is How do they know specifically what action to take?
Why is this important?
It is important because once you realize and know that plants can and do communicate, this removes your mental barriers against being a reciprocal partner in the exchange of energies beyond words and writing.
In other words, this shows you that there is a much greater "intelligence" at work here than we have been led to believe.
Once you understand that simple fact, you become more open to the "intelligence" of not just nature, but of the Universe itself.
Now you can use your more "Open Mind" to have greater experiences.
Why Is This Important? ↟↟
This is so important because what you believe becomes your perceived reality, both alive and especially after you die.
This does not mean that "what you believe" is real, and while it may appear real to you at first, you will quickly learn that most of what you have been told and taught during your lifetime is incorrect. Especially after death (of the body).
Quorum Sensing ↟↟
Some people may argue that this plant communication is simply an advanced form of "quorum sensing" but again, I would ask, what is the underlying intelligence which not only allows this to happen - but seems to occur across a vast variety of different plant species, especially when you factor in mycorrhizal fungi. (42 mins) + (82 minutes)
Forgiveness Meditation
Forgiveness Meditation comes in 2 flavors.
- You forgive yourself
- You forgive someone else
There is a secret to Forgiving someone else.
If you truly believe that you are a child of The Creator, then anything which happens to you is put there (a) as a test (b) to guide you in a specific direction. (increase your consciousness)
During my life I have had some great ideas which I have talked to people about, they have taken my ideas and often gotten rich while I got nothing.
I could bemoan my sad fate except if these people had been honest, I would never have met my wife - and if I had to choose between all of the money I would have made and her, it is a no brainer.
She wins every micro-second.
It was only after I had this realization that I completely forgave all of those who exploited my honesty and knowledge.
This is hard to explain but it felt like something inside me - a dark cloud - suddenly evaporated and beautiful sunshine came pouring in to replace my anger.
Carrying the baggage of twisted bitterness around your neck is not a smart way to live.
You must be 101% sincere when you forgive others.
Meditate on opening your Heart Chakra if you want a great focal point.
Combine this with focusing on your breathing and you have the beginning of a great meditation session.
Gazing Meditation
Gazing Meditation is a bit more complex than most people realize.
I have written more about this method here on the "Gazing Meditation" page.
Golden Mantra Meditation
The Golden Mantra Meditation is a technique I was taught when I was 18 and my teacher said that it was a neutral mantra / visualization method designed to draw down the light of Creation and via our own physicality and effort, manifest this light into "our" current level of existence.
"The Golden Mantra" is something any mentally cognizant person can do to help bring love and light into our world.
For those who are more prayer focused, we also have "The Meditation Prayer" you may like.
Gratitude Meditation
The Gratitude Meditation uses a very simple mantra which goes like this.
Master of The Universe, thank you for everything you have done for me. Please help me become closer to you and worthy of your love. Thank you.
Simply repeat this mantra for 30 minutes a day.
Do this before you go to sleep so that it is foremost in your sub-conscious mind while you sleep.
If you do this before you sleep, consider adding the following as well.
Master of The Universe, thank you for everything you have done for me. Please guide me while I sleep to become closer to you and worthy of your love all the days of my life. Thank you.
NOTE:
When you meditate, your mind will be active with thoughts - this is called the "Monkey Mind" .
You can help control this monkey mind by thinking of the following verse while saying the above mantra.
This will help impede extraneous disruptive thoughts.
Sub-Mantra
A very powerful SUB-mantra is Deuteronomy - Chapter 6: v5
And you shall love the Lord, your God, with all your heart and with all your soul, and with all your essence.
Grounding Meditation
Grounding Meditation comes in several varieties.

Mental and Emotional Grounding ↟↟
Mental and Emotional Grounding can often be done simply by meditating properly - see here "Beginners Meditation". 
Note that some meditation methods are far superior to others.
Stress and anxiety are also (often) associated with mineral depletion which is often associated with high "Sugar" intake.
This issue is well known in Buddhist meditation circles as "Meditation Sickness" and can often easily be remedied - but you must also STOP all sugar impregnated foods and drinks.

Spiritual Grounding ↟↟
Spiritual Grounding is a bit more complicated than touching a tree or walking bare foot through grass.
For a start, what is truly IN your heart will be exposed and while you can literally lie your ass off to people, your soul is 101% transparent on a spiritual level so any kind of deception is seen even before you finish thinking your questions.
If you want an analogy, think of your soul like a TV and while it is on this side, it is turned OFF so people cannot see what is happening inside you.
But on the other side, they have the remote control and they can turn ON your TV and change to any channel they want and see what is really happening inside your soul.
Spiritual Grounding starts with Truth, Honesty and Humility.
Here is something to think about, I call it "The Secret Passwords". 
Guided Meditation
I am really not a fan of Guided Meditation due to its many constrictive limitations.
How can your lazy mind learn to meditate on its own if you need someone to "talk you down"?
How would another person be able tell you what you can or cannot do? Only an ascended Master can do this.
How will ever learn to find your true spiritual level if you need another person to tell you what you can or cannot do?
How will you ever learn mental discipline?
Your "path" is "your path" and only you can travel that path.
Healing Meditation
Healing Meditation is quite interesting.
You must say this mantra in the present tense and NOT in the future tense.
For Example
DO NOT SAY: "My body Is healing".
Rather say this:
My Body Is Healed.

Healing Psalms ? ↟↟
Did you know that there are also "Psalms For Healing" which you can also say?
Remember to focus your "intent" in the Present Tense (the here and NOW) and not in the future.
There is a saying I was taught which says, "You may be what you may be but you will always be what you are (now)".
Heart Meditation
Heart Meditation is where you totally focus on opening your Heart Chakra.
Be clean, be comfortable, do not wear tight clothes.
Choose your single word mantra and completelt visualize your heart chakra as a circle filling up with radiant green light.
Keep filling up your heart chakra until the green light radiates all around the world.
Think happy thoughts of peace.
Note:
Some sources say that the heart chakra mantra sound is YAM but I have also heard this as different "sounds" (plural) depending upon who is telling the story.
What is important is your focus and visualization of the "chakra" (circle) filling up with green light - see example here.

Kundalini Meditation
Kundalini Meditation is potentially dangerous to those who are not prepared for the energy surge so I do not cover this much in this website (for legal reasons).

Love Meditation
Love Meditation firstly requires you to identify which one of the "Levels Of Love" you are targeting.
Meditate on opening your Heart Chakra if you want a great focal point.
Love Meditation is best done with someone you love and who reciprocates your love.
Doing it this way allows you the "potential" of elevating your experience up to a higher level as your combined love acts like a match to start the fire.

Loving Kindness Meditation
Loving Kindness Meditation is more of a personal focus meditation than anything else.
You cannot make Loving Kindness just happen, it needs to be "activated" from within you.
Interestingly, when you activate Loving Kindness within your self, your body starts to produce and radiate BioPhotons.
These BioPhotons can be felt by the person producing them as well as the receiver. That is if they are not medicated off the planet.

Meditation is one way that you can manually manifest these BioPhotons and use this light to project Love out into the world and the Universe.
This is the ultimate purpose of the "Golden Mantra". 
Manifestation Meditation
Manifestation Meditation in simple terms is where you meditate on attracting "something" towards you - or someone else.
There is a warning to doing this meditation and that is DO NOT do this to manifest money.
You can ask for abundance, or substance or increased livelihood etc but you cannot ask for money per se.
How to do this?
You need to use a "Positive Affirmation" mantra.
Simply change the words to fit your specific needs.
Mantra Meditation
Mantra Meditation is one of the ways of meditating.
As you can see by the information on this page, there are a lot of different methods of meditating.
In my opinion, using a Mantra for "Controlled Meditation" is the easiest and the best method of learning both basic and advanced meditation.
Note that there are techniques which do not need a Mantra, but you should be very proficient in Mantra meditation before you try any of the more advanced methods.
Meditation Prayer
The Meditation Prayer is a simple non-denominational prayer asking The Creator for peace, love and light to be blessed upon the inhabitants of this planet.
It is called "The Meditation Prayer" because you say these words as your Mantra and repeat these words for at least 30+ minutes a day.
Mindfulness Meditation
Mindfulness Meditation is simply a different version of Transcendental Meditation TM - (Disclaimer) I am NOT a fan of TM for "many reasons". 
If you are serious about learning proper meditation, then you need to have discipline in the same way you drive a car.
If you want a better method (IMO), then please look at "Controlled Meditation" as this will also give you the foundation to do higher levels of meditation as you progress.
Miracle Meditation
Miracle Meditation is not real.
Waiting for a miracle is delusional. Consider this: You cannot win the Lottery unless you actually go and buy a ticket.
The same principle applies with miracles. You need to start the process off with your thoughts, speech and actions.
If you want a miracle in your life, then you should look at doing "Positive Affirmations" .
You may also like to use "Psalm 27:4" as your mantra or even Deuteronomy - Chapter 6: v5 as your mantra.
And you shall love the Lord, your God, with all your heart and with all your soul, and with all your essence.
Mirror Meditation
There are 3 main types of Mirror Meditation.
- Vanity Mirror
- Gazing Mirror
- Mirror World Theory
Vanity Mirror Meditation ↟↟
Vanity Mirror Meditation is a method that I strongly disagree with.
Vanity Mirror Meditation is where you stare at yourself in the mirror while supposedly meditating.
Vanity Mirror Meditation has no purpose other than the supposed "other dimension" experience (which is just an eye illusion).
This has a tendency to cause people - who are in love with themselves - to focus on their physical beauty and this negates the entire purpose of meditation.
In my opinion, this version of "Mirror Meditation" is a vanity project.
The whole purpose of meditation is to learn how to go into your inner essence and find a spiritual connection with Creation itself.
Staring at your face will never give you any insight into your soul.
This is because your face is a mask representation of a physical entity which you assume represents your soul but in fact, it is merely an illusion of what your essence (soul) really is.
IMO this method is for misguided or shallow self-absorbed people only.
Test This Yourself
Go out into the bush where there are no lights and stare at a tree or any other object at least 50 meters (yards) away.
The longer you stare, the more it will appear to dance.
This dancing has nothing to do with any dimensional realm, it is simply muscles twitching in your eyes.
This dancing illusion is more pronounced when you do this at night.
Gazing Mirror Meditation ↟↟
For this method, you can either lay the mirror down flat or have it standing up approx head height - even if you are sitting down place this at an angle so that you do not strain any muscles and it is comfortable to look at.
This must be done in complete darkness (so no sunlight or lightbulbs)
You need a BeesWax candle (NOT toxic paraffin), and this candle must be safely placed approx 10 feet (3.5 meters) away from - and adjacent to the mirror.
The fumes from "Paraffin wax candles" are toxic especially if you are in an enclosed room and inhaling these fumes for a protracted period of time. + + 
Stand or sit at an angle to the mirror where you cannot directly see the candle and start at the surface of the mirror itself and NOT at your face.
What you are looking for is the flickering reflection of the candle in the mirror.
Slow your breathing down to 3 breaths (inhale and exhale) per minute. This will help "10 Second Meditation Ping". 
Count how many times the candle flickers. This helps control your "Monkey Mind". 
Continue to stare at the mirror and you must disregard ALL thoughts as you see yourself (visualize) traveling into the mirror.

Mirror World Theory ↟↟
Mirror World Theory is also sometimes called Mirror Dimension Theory.
I am fairly positive that most of you have never heard of the Mirror World Theory.
It is claimed that if you constantly stare at your face in a mirror for over 10 minutes in complete darkness - you open up another dimension and your face will start to move on its own accord.
Reality Check
When I was in the ARMY, we were taught to NEVER look directly at an object (in the dark) because it will either appear to move or be fuzzy.
We were taught to stare beside the object and it would have more structural credibility and thus be easier for the brain to diagnose its true shape. We were also taught that if we saw a muzzle flash, to stop staring because it was definitely a person. :)
Mirror Meditation appears to cause structural translucence because of the constant movement of your eye muscles.

Quantum Jumping ↟↟
Quantum Jumping is also called Quantum Leaping and other names and it is basically a form of Manifestation Meditation.

Morning Meditation
Morning Meditation is highly recommended and in Buddhism, it is recommended that the "Best Time To Meditate" meditate approx 1 hour before sunrise as this is the quietest time - or in simple English - less intrusive thoughts and energy from other people pervading your space.
If you want to meditate in the evening, it is suggested that you do so at approx 8 PM as this is when most people have finished their "day" and are sitting down to rest.
There is actually an esoteric aspect to meditating at 8 PM as well. More info here "Stretched Timeline Theory". 
Motivation Meditation
Motivation Meditation falls under "Positive Affirmation" meditation.
You need to be doing this for a minimum of 3 weeks and for at least 30 - 60 minutes a day, everyday before you start seeing results.
Note that IF you are dishonest within yourself, then the results will take much longer.
Nature Meditation
Nature Meditation is covered above under Forest Bathing Meditation. 
This should not be done in any area or location where you may encounter harm from animals, humans, reptiles or any other potential problems.
Gurdjieff Ocean Meditation
This technique is known by several names including:
- Beach Meditation
- Ocean Meditation
- Gurdjieff Meditation

Om Meditation
Om Meditation is possibly THE most popular and common form of mantra used for meditation.
And yet 99.99% of people are doing this simple mantra wrong. Find out the "OM Mantra Secret" here.

Positive Meditation
Positive Meditation is very similar to "Positive Affirmations" with the main difference being that you must be in a positive state of mind to start with.
Remember, what you project consciously and subconsciously is what you create around you and what you draw towards yourself.

Pranayama Meditation
Pranayama Meditation is utilizing advanced breathing exercises which often increases meditation experiences (if done correctly).
Your mental attitude will also affect the outcome of these meditation exercises.
I have written more information on this subject here "Pranayama". 
I have included the first Prana breathing exercise I was taught and links to several books which will help you.
Pregnancy Meditation
Pregnancy Meditation is where (ideally) start meditating before you get pregnant "but" you can also meditate after you get pregnant.
This helps calm the mother which results in a calmer baby - if stress is the cause of ailments after birth.
When you are stressed, anxious, angry or just upset, your body (brain area) releases Cortisol, which is also known as the "stress hormone" and this may (usually does) affect babies both prenatal and postnatal.
Cortisol may even be passed on in your milk.
It is often in the "PeriNatal" stage that Moms get the "feeling" that something is not right.
IF this "feeling" is caused by stress and Cortisol related, it is (would have been) easy to fix by meditating BEFORE you got pregnant | - | Or at the very latest as soon as you became aware that you are pregnant.
Why Meditate Before Pregnancy? ↟↟
Exposure to elevated concentrations of cortisol early in gestation was associated with a slower rate of development over the first postnatal year and lower scores on the mental development index of the Bayley Scales of Infant Development (BSID) at 12 months. ("NIH") 
Meditation helps your brain remain calmer.
Taking potassium, vanadium, chromium, copper and zinc supplementation will also help.

If you are new to meditation, I would suggest that you did the following.
- Wash your hands before meditating -- important
- Sit comfortably
- Do 5 DEEP and SLOW breaths
- Slow your breathing down
- Start repeating (with your voice) the word OM
- If you get any thoughts, disregard them and return back to your mantra - OM
Invading thoughts are referred to as your "Monkey Mind" and you can learn to control this.
"Which Mantra"
Protection Meditation
Protection Meditation is simple meditating on increasing the white light which surrounds your body and visualizing this light growing stronger and stronger.
This light is what helps protect you from psychic attacks and other negative energies.
As stated, this is a visualization technique.

For over 2,000 years, people have been using "Psalms For Protection" as well.
Relaxation Meditation
Relaxation Meditation is a direct result of meditating properly.
When done properly, meditation helps relax the mind, brain and body.

Religious Meditation
Religious Meditation is simply taking your favorite verse from the bible and using that verse as your mantra.
If I may suggest a very powerful mantra: Deuteronomy - Chapter 6: v5
And you shall love the Lord, your God, with all your heart and with all your soul, and with all your essence.
Interestingly Deuteronomy - Chapter 4: v4 tells you the outcome of using the above mantra.
But you who cleave to the Lord your God are alive, all of you, this day.

RetroActive Meditation
"RetroActive Meditation" is one of the most powerful meditations you can utilize.
Once you understand how RetroActive Meditation works, you can then apply this "concept" to your current meditation and "future" meditations by utilizing the power of "Positive Affirmations" .
RetroActive Meditation may be utilized by yourself or for the benefit of others.
Self Esteem Meditation
Self Esteem Meditation is where you meditate on being more confident.
Meditation will - in most cases - automatically instill more confidence in people (if it is done correctly) because it helps reduce stress levels and allows most people to think more clearly.
I strongly suggest that you use a mantra and avoid certain meditation techniques as listed here, "Beginners Meditation". 
Self Forgiveness Meditation
There is a secret to Self Forgiveness Meditation.
Firstly, do not seek your own forgiveness, rather seek the forgiveness of The Creator.
2) You must be 101% sincere when you ask for forgiveness and never repeat the offending "incident" again.
Whatever the incident was which caused you to seek self-forgiveness, only The Creator can forgive you for this. But only if you are genuine in your heart.
It is best if you seek to be a better person and learn from your mistakes, because whatever you did has been done and cannot be undone by words or thoughts.
No "person" has the power to absolve you from your "sin" unless "God" personally gave them that power.
Self Healing Meditation
Self Healing Meditation is very interesting.
There are 2 parts to this:
- Emotional Self Healing
- Physical Self Healing
Emotional Self Healing can be expedited simply by using a "Controlled Meditation" technique and I list the benefits here.
Physical Self Healing is where you utilize "Positive Affirmations" spoken "In The Present Tense" to help your body heal.**
** Of course this is no substitute for quality nutrition.
I have successfully used this method from time to time to expedite my healing process.

Self Love Meditation
Self Love Meditation does not have to be narcissistic.
In fact, from a psychological perspective, there are many people who have been "damaged" from having bastard parents who disgorged their bile and hatred out on their children and this negativity has affected (almost all of) these children all of their lives.
Personally
Personally I was lucky because I met a great teacher when I was 18 who explained these things to me and taught me to meditate on (firstly) accepting myself (secondly) accepting that I am a being of love.
I have watched my whole family sucked into a vortex of emotional self destruction.
Change
You can change your life - IF you try - I did.
I went from joining the ARMY at 17 to go and get killed to - helping thousands of people worldwide.
You can change your life - IF you try.
The mantra my teacher gave me when I was 18 was this.

Silent Meditation
Silent Meditation is where you simply say a mantra to your self.
Start here "Beginners Meditation". 
Sitting-Touching Meditation
What is Sitting & Touching Meditation?
Sitting & Touching Meditation is a very simple technique designed to help focus the mind on the here and now. It requires discipline.
How To Do Sitting & Touching Meditation? ↟↟
- Wash your hands
- Sit comfortably
- 5 deep slow breaths to relax
- Firstly: Focus on your breathing, do this for 101 breaths. Your breathing should be at least 10 seconds in and 10 seconds out per breath. This "10 Second Meditation Ping"
will help you.
- Next change your focus to your sitting posture.
- Completely focus on exactly how you are sitting for at least 15 - 20 minutes. Some people like to start using the word "Sitting" as a mantra.
- Next: Using one hand, and as you exhale, reach up and touch your heart - very gently - and then let your hand rest back on your leg.
- For the next 20 minutes, do this: Exhale and raise your hand and touch your heart, then Inhale and lower your hand in a peaceful manner.
You should allocate at least 60 minutes to this method.
Having Thoughts?
Immediately release these thoughts and come back to the procedure.
Once you are really comfortable with this method, the next step is to start seeing your heart Open Up as your "clean" hand approaches it.
See the color Green or Blue shining out of your heart when it opens.
Soul Meditation
Soul Meditation uses a simple technique of focusing on the soul being closer to The Creator.
If I may suggest a very powerful mantra: Deuteronomy - Chapter 6: v5
And you shall love the Lord, your God, with all your heart and with all your soul, and with all your essence.
Interestingly Deuteronomy - Chapter 4: v4 tells you the outcome of using the above mantra.
But you who cleave to the Lord your God are alive, all of you, this day.
Simply repeat this sentence as a mantra every day for at least 30 minutes a day.
Say the words slowly and carefully.

Stillness Meditation
Stillness Meditation is similar to "Blank Meditation" or if you are even more advanced in meditation, you may also like to read about "The Silence" 
You may also be interested in a primarily visual meditation method called "Yantra Meditation" which also enhances your stillness if you use the silent option.
Superconscious Meditation
SuperConscious Meditation is where you utilize your natural ability to bypass your Conscious mind using "PreCog" mind programming.
SuperConscious Meditation may be greatly enhance if you use the "Mano Buddhi Mantra". 
Synchronized Breathing Meditation
Synchronized Breathing Meditation is a great method to try for 2 or more people.
First you need to "Synchronize Your Energy" and then maintain a regular breathing rhythm while meditating.
I have set up a 5 Second, 10 Second, 15 Second and 20 Second "Meditation Ping" to help you keep your breathing synchronized.
How To Do?
Basically you first synchronize your breathing and then synchronize your "mantra" . You often see this in Buddhist monasteries.
DO NOT play any music, when you play music, people listent o the music and then they miss experiences they may have because they were distracted.
FYI: I have never been to nor participated in any Buddhist group meditation where music is played.
One group used a bell and once another group used a "bowl" and I never went back.
Suggestion
Try different mantras and see which one the group aligns with.
Tantric Meditation
Tantric Meditation is a meditation practice from ancient Eastern traditions - such as Bon, Buddhism, Jainism, Sikhism, Hinduism etc - that seeks to synchronize and awaken the body, mind, and spirit.
This is usually started by restricting calorie intake to reduce the "power" of the physical over your spiritual self.
Great care must be taken to balance both physical health and spiritual health.
It is suggested that while you are doing this technique, that you avoid any kind of meat or animal products.
This is the technique I was taught.
STEPS
- Be clean
- Be comfortable
- Do this with someone you are "connected" to - ideally male + female for energy balance.
- Control your breathing and regulate it to 10 seconds IN and 10 seconds OUT. This "10 Second Meditation Ping"
will help.
- Choose a simple mantra (like OM).
- Open your chakras and draw down light from above into your solar plexus chakra using the applicable "Chakra Colors".

- Draw light up from your base chakra into your solar plexus chakra.
- Sit close to the other person but DO NOT touch them.
- Visualize the energy from each of your chakras flowing across to their corresponding chakra and merging with theirs.
- Place your hands on your knees so that your finger tips are approx 1 inch or 3 cms away from their finger tips.
- "Feel" their energy as they project their energy into you (and you do the same - project into them).
- Try and draw down spiritual Love from The Creator and visualize this merging within both of you.
- Slowly open and close each corresponding chakra together and while you do this, try and feel their chakra opening and closing with your chakra.
- "Chakras"

- "Chakra Rainbow"

- Chanting or silent meditation is your choice, but please read this "Chanting Benefits"
first.
Relationship
If you are in a physical relationship with the other person, you can even do this naked BUT you must keep your eyes closed.
When you are opening and closing your chakras together, as you open your BASE Chakra, contract the muscle betweenyour anus and scrotum (anus and vulva) which is the area called the perineum.
Open and close your chakras together using the 5 second Ping.
Some People?
Some couples just focus on opening and closing the Base Chakra and if this is what you want to do, then I suggest the 10 second Ping or even the 15 second Ping.
But this time, contract the muscle and hold it for the 10 seconds and then relax it for the next 10 seconds.
This contraction may (and has) cause you to orgasm, so please be careful if doing this in a large group.
Transcendental Meditation
Transcendental Meditation (IMO) is not the best technique to start meditating and certainly NOT even a good long term method. REMEMBER you only have this lifetime, so why waste your time chasing miscellaneous thoughts.

There are better ways for you to choose.
Tummo Meditation
Tummo Fire Meditation is a technique which evokes your Chi energy to help you stay warm.
I show you one technique that I was taught and used very effectively here. "Tummo Fire Meditation" 
Unity Meditation
Unity Meditation has multiple aspects.
- You can help unify this world
- You can help unify the Universe
- You can help unify Creation itself
- You can help unify your current soul, etc
- You can help unify your other soul fragments
- You can help unify the fragments of your soul mate
TIP: You need to do 1 specific meditation aspect at a time for a minimum or 4 - 12 weeks before you will typically start seeing results.
In other words, focus on 1 thing at a time.

Universe Meditation
Universe Meditation is focused on unifying the Universe - and if you want to take this further, expand your consciousness to help unify ALL of Creation itself.
Om Mani Padme Hum
Possibly the most well known Universal Vedic Mantra is "Om Mani Padme Hum". 
Om Mani Padme Hum is the mantra of compassion to benefit all living beings in the Universe.
Hineh Mah Tov
Possibly the most well known Hebrew Universal Peace Mantra is called "Hineh Mah Tov" which is a verse from Psalm 133.
 | Behold how good and how pleasant it is for brothers also to sit together in Unity. |  |
Note that "Hineh Mah Tov" is only 8 words in Hebrew.
"Unity Meditation" has multiple aspects.
- You can help unify yourself
- You can help unify the Universe
- You can help unify Creation itself
TIP: You should focus on the Universe because you do not know how big Creation is - and at least the reality of the Universe is conceivable to your mind even if the variable components, layers and dimensions are beyond our understanding.

Vedic Meditation
The word Vedic covers a lot of subjects. You have (ancient) Bon and "New Bon", Jainism, Buddhism, Sikhism, Hinduism and other offshoots of these main religions.

Visualization Meditation
Visualization Meditation is a practice which requires absolute silence.
You need to be skilled in techniques like "Blank Meditation" and "Controlled Meditation" and "Breathing Meditation" if you want to get the best experience from this method.
You need to seek the place of "Mind Of No Mind" and you need to know what you are looking for.
Visualization Meditation requires a level of discipline that most people do not have time for.
If you want a good technique, please consider "Yantra Meditation". 
Waterfall Meditation
While Waterfall Meditation made famous in movies is a meditation of detachment and it can be very dangerous from rocks, sticks and even whole tree trunks falling over the waterfall.
Unless you are very conversant with Tummo (Fire) Meditation I would strongly suggest that you do not try this method.
I will repeat: HIDDEN DANGER
Sitting under a waterfall is actually quite stupid because you get rocks, branches and logs - and even critters like snakes - coming over the waterfall which could crush your head or cause extreme and long term physical damage to your body.
PLAN B
If you want to see how good you are, I suggest that you find a pool of water at a safe distance from the waterfall which contain ice cold water and experiment with that water source.
Sit in the pool of water and do your meditation.
Then all you have to worry about is snakes, critters crawling up your undies, hypothermia and (for guys) never having babies again.
White Light Meditation
White Light Meditation is covered here Visualization Meditation. 
With this method you are obviously looking for the pure white light and drawing this into your body and then radiating this light out into the world and the Universe with your exhale breath.
What Is My Purpose
What Is My Purpose "Mantra 1" + "Mantra 2 (advanced)" 
Also consider using the "Yantra Meditation" method.
If you do this meditation, you not only give your life Purpose, but you also give it direction and hopefully a conclusive result.
One of my teachers used to always ask me "Why are you here?"
He never told me the answer, he just kept asking me the question.
Can you imagine being asked that question for over 2 years and not getting an answer?
It literally took me decades to understand the beginning of that question - which I am about to share with you.
Most meditation techniques are limited, distracting and many are aimless with NO final destination.
For example
Let us say that you are using the word "OM" for your mantra.
- Where are you now?
- Where do you want to get to?
- How will this mantra help me get there?
- How do I take control of my "journey"?
- Can this mantra help reduce my Karma?
- How can this mantra benefit others?
- Are there better options and methods etc?
So many more questions.
Start at the beginning.
Start meditating at the beginning using a single word mantra and as you become more comfortable in your meditation, then start asking questions.
Once you are established at meditating, then see the What Is My Purpose Mantras to grow spiritually. "Mantra 1" + "Mantra 2" 
When you meditate you "may" get a good feeling and possibly some benefits physically but what is the true potential end-game of your meditation?
Why do I ask this?
There is a "reason" that you are on this planet and (IMO) In My Opinion, it would be a great idea to find out what your "Life-Lesson" is?
This would potentially allow you to do at least 2 things.
- Discover this lesson, rectify or complete your "mission".
- Possibly move on to your next lesson and hopefully save having to come back for another lifetime (or many).
REMEMBER: If you do not learn your life-lesson, then you need to come back ("Reincarnation" ) - and the way the world is going, it may be back to the stone age.
We can change this outcome IF we are united and meditation gives us 1 very easy way - across all belief systems - to accomplish this unity.
How To ↟↟
This is quite simple, and utilizes the "Controlled Meditation" technique.
Instead of using a nondescript or non-applicable mantra, use this one instead.
REMEMBER - never ask Why?
Remember to never use "Negatives" when asking a question.
• Who? - asking about a person
• What? - asking about an animal, object or action • When? - asking about a time-line • Where? - asking about a location • How? - asking about how it happened or how to fix
• Why? - subconsciously confrontational - so please do not use
Consider one of these as your positive affirmation mantra.
- What is my purpose this lifetime.
- What is my life-lesson this lifetime?
- How do I learn my life-lesson?
- How do I complete my life-lesson?
- Master of the Universe, please help me learn and overcome my life lesson.
Yantra Meditation
Yantra Meditation is a visualization meditation which may also include a sound mantra as well.
"Yantra Meditation" helps many people transcend physicality and is one of the divine methods of attaining the state of "Mind Of No Mind" if you are worthy.
Zen Meditation
"Zen" Meditation can be as simple as understanding a simple Koan to contemplating your next move if you see a flying cow to theoretical math problem solving.
Zen Meditation is similar to "Contemplative Meditation" except this time you are focused on solving a Zen "riddle" or "Koan" - or other spiritual conundrum - like the "Brick Koan" and how does it help you become enlightened (Buddhism: Bodhi or Zen: Satori) when you combine the esoteric nature of Zen with the discipline of removing false beliefs and passions from your mind.
Zen teaches you to OPEN your mind to possibilities and it is only by doing so that you are able to transcend your limited knowledge base.
Creation is far more complex and beautiful than you can possibly imagine - but Only IF you are open to the source of truth and not "the truth" that you may have been taught by someone with an agenda.
This may be done by reflecting on your true essence using "Controlled Meditation" and "Contemplative Meditation". 
There is a similar "Zen" technique taught in Kabbalah whereby you meditate on a word or phrase and then the next level up is to meditate on that word's association to other words (or phrase) in close proximity to it.
This requires a great stillness of the mind and complete focus - NOT concentration - because when you concentrate, you become stressed and stress does not help meditation.
I found this a very powerful meditation method where I use the old testament and say the words in "Hebrew" .
The potency is in the Hebrew and does not work when translated. (FYI)
Another one of my big favorites is "Nirvana Shatakam".
