Seeing Gods Face?
Here is some trivia which may pop a few brain cells.
Genesis 32:31 Following an intense all-night wrestling match with a mysterious divine being, Jacob named the location Peniel (meaning "face of God"), saying: "For I have seen God face to face, and yet my life has been delivered".

The word Peniel may also be read as Piniel because the first letter in Hebrew (פְּנִיאֵ֑ל) has a "Sheva" vowel (which is silent) under it so it may be pronounced either way but in reality, it should not have a vowel sound at all. (PNi'el)
Just like a lot of African words (Swahili (Bantu), Zulu, and 
I would put a link to the chabad page in Genesis but they translate the word Elohim as Angel.
I suspect that they did this because the "Elohim" who (that) appeared to Jacob was in fact an "Attribute" of The Creator and not the simplistic translation which most people assume means God The Creator per se.

I realize that this is above the level of many people, and I am sorry that you were never taught the truth from the beginning or else this would be a planet of Light instead of what it has turned into.
For someone as uncomlicated as Jacob, seeing this "Divine Presence" would have been overwhelming.
Did I mention that "She" is the interactive aspect of God on our level of physicality (if we are lucky).

The Zohar says that "The Angel" was "El Shadai" which is one of the "attributes" of the 10 Sephirot.

For those who do not know, in Judaism, the Shekhinah (שְׁכִינָה) translates to "dwelling" or "settling" or "lowering".
The Shekhinah represents the female aspect (same as the Dakini) of the Divine "Presence" dwelling among the people, acting as a profound spiritual interactive "interface" between The Creator and us.
Christians would know "Her" as the "Miracle of Fatima Lady". (

The pineal gland is reportedly the main "endocrine gland" responsible for esoteric experiences when praying or meditating.
I put this here because it sounds almost 99% identical to the word Jacob used when he "saw God" (or the aspect of God).
What Is The Pineal Gland?
The pineal gland is a tiny, pea sized endocrine gland located in the center of the brain and one of its primary functions is to produce and secrete melatonin, the hormone that regulates your internal body clock.
Some teachings associate the pineal gland with the 3rd eye.
Benefits Of The Pineal Gland?
The main benefit is to regulate your wake - sleep cycles.
It secretes melatonin when the eyes register darkness and your biological clock (circadian rhythm) says that it is evening and time to sleep.
When the pineal gland malfunctions, it most commonly leads to a disruption in the body's internal clock.
Because the pineal gland produces melatonin, any dysfunction causes sleep-wake cycle disturbances, insomnia, chronic fatigue, hormonal imbalances, and mood swings.
Bisphenol-A (BP-A) which is a well known synthetic female hormone is also well known as an endocrine disruptor which means that it affects the pineal gland.
Meat is also often injected with synthetic female hormones (while the animal is alive) so that the meat is softer. This is especially done to male animals that have been castrated.

BTW: These mood swings also affect babies and small children as well. But the most notable is women who have more sensitive bodies than men.
However, synthetic female hormone do have a tendency to make men more effeminate.
Calcification Of The Pineal Gland ↟↟
Possibly the worst cause of pineal gland dysfunction may be Calcification Of The Pineal Gland.
To know if your pineal gland is calcified, you will need an imaging test like a CT (Computed Tomography) scan - WARNING but there is a WARNING with CT Scans.
I have had 2 of these, the first time was shortly after I had died (the first time) and I was basically "non compos mentis" from the brain injury I suffered when I fell over.
However I do remember the RED Rash which covered my entire body after the event.
The second time, the "stuff" (iodine-based contrast dye) they injected into me actually KILLED me and again my entire body turned traffic light red and my skin literally pealed Off for weeks over my entire body. (The same thing happened the first time)
Think of it like dandruff but hundreds of times worse and covering your entire body.
What you do is your business, but this had been my experience with CT scans.
IF your doctor insists that you have a CT scan, DO NOT SIGN A LIFE OR DEATH WAIVER and see how quickly they stop asking you to have the scan.
And then there is the potentially fatal dose of radiation the patient receives.
Because over 90 million CT exams are performed annually, researchers project that current scan practices will eventually account for about 5% of all new cancer cases each year.
Detox The Pineal Gland
Fluoride (in water and toothpaste) is widely considered one of the primary contributors to pineal calcification.
If you are going to filter your water, you will need a (5 or 6 stage) Reverse Osmosis filtration system which uses a TFC membrane (NOT the cellulosic membrane).
TIP: Do not buy a brand name R/O unit, as these typically use smaller filters and membranes which require servicing more often ($$$$$).
Use fluoride-free toothpastes and avoid fluoride-based mouthwash.

While you are doing this detox, you may like to consider adding another detox of the synthetic female hormones from your body as well as micriPlastics which usually contain these hormones and have now been found to be so small that they are now found inside cells.
Whether It Is Or Isn't ↟↟
Whether this pineal gland is associated with the 3rd eye is not really the point of this detox.
It is a vital part of your mental health and a major destressor in the body and this is important for many people.
Meditating or praying while under duress (stress) is not much fun and it detracts from your focus.
