Top Hebrew AlefBet - AlphaBet

Hebrew words and letters are very popular amongst many Christians, so I have included this Hebrew Letters information as a guide for you - including meditation in Hebrew.

Many websites I have seen so far have mistakes regarding the Hebrew Letters (including free wikipedia).

First 2 Notes

(1) - Hebrew Letters ↟↟

It is important to note that the "modern" Hebrew letters are not the same as the original .

You may note that the looks a lot like Phoenician letters and several other writing systems of that time.

The reason for this change is Kabbalistic - which means that with many of the Hebrew letters plus many Hebrew words (in the Torah) are not complete because they have not fulfilled their "pre-ordained" destiny in order to become complete words.

Think of it like a movie script - but a lot more complex - someone has to think of the movie idea, then write the script which involves a cast of characters, then it needs to be directed and edited etc etc until it is finished.

And IF it is a Karmic Flop, the whole process starts again.

I explain this in more depth here on the page.

This is a concept which most people on this planet have no idea about.

The same principle applies to the Hebrew letters.

Until the Torah was given at Mt Sinai, the "time" was not right for the revealing of the letters in their true nature.

This was because the descendants of Jacob / Israel had to be worthy to receive these letters because of the potent spiritual energy they are imbued with.

(2) Crowns ↟↟

Some of the Hebrew letters contain "Crowns" which have higher level spiritual meanings. This is commonly referred to as the Ashurit (Ashuri) or or Tagin. [K'tav means write]

Ashuri Alefbet crowns

I will not be going into the reasons for these crowns at this stage.

Hebrew AlefBet Structure ↟↟

There are 22 consonants, 5 final letters and 4 double letters.

You also have vowels () - which are not as easy as you may think.

You may ask why there are 22 vowels "characters" in Hebrew which basically represent the same 5 regular vowel sounds and the (Kabbalah) answer is that each "dot" adds the value of 10 (yod) and each vertical or horizontal "bar" adds the value of 6 (vav). Nikud is singular and Nikudot is plural. Further reading.

There are also 31 cantillation marks (te'amim). AKA (diacritics).

The reason for this is way beyond the scope of this website.

Tiberian Nikud

Some people say that the vowels were added by the scribes but they were actually added at the beginning of creation.

The Masoretes simply added them textually. Why would you have 4 vowel points for the letter "A"? And yes, I understand about the phonetics.

The explains this a bit further.

The Letter Aleph ↟↟

The letter Aleph is silent so it can assume the sound of any associated vowel, for example:

Hebrew Vowel Points.

+ Cantillation Marks

Plus on top of these, you have 31 Cantillation marks + the Silent Cantillation mark.

A question for the wise.

Why is the letter Alef comprised of 4 components?

More info on vowels in "Gods Name" on the page.

Consonants ↟↟

NOTE: Daled is also commonly pronounced as Dalet.

Aleph, Bet, Gimmel, Daled, Hey, Vav, Zayin, cHet, Tet, Yod, Kaf, Lamed, Mem, Noon, SamecH, Ayin, Pey, Tzadi, Koof, Resh, Shin, Taf.

Daled is sometimes pronounced Daled because Delet means door in Hebrew.

Doubles ↟↟

  • Bet - Vet
  • Kaf (Calf) - cHaf + Sofit*
  • Pey - Fey + Sofit**
  • Shin - Sin

Final (Sofit) Letters ↟↟

  • cHaf - cHaf Sofit **
  • Mem = Mem Sofit
  • Noon (Nun) - Noon Sofit
  • Fey - Fey Sofit **
  • Tzadi - Tzadi Sofit

Note that Only the CHAF Sofit changes sound depending upon gender. With no vowels or neutral ך as masculine ךָ and as feminine ך.

You need to learn the word to know which is which.

How to pronounce the

The pronunciation of some of the letters will vary depending on whether it was spoken by European Jews or Middle Eastern Jews.

More Info ↟↟

If you get a proper version of the Torah, (like the ) you will quickly notice that the first and last letters are double sized.

These 2 letters produce the word Bet Lamed (בל) which means "Not" and in this case, it is a soft decline - however - and most importantly, IF we reverse these 2 letters, we get the word "Heart" or (lev לב) which is a hint to read the Torah with your heart and not just your eyes.

Another interesting version of these 2 double sized letters is that if you write them twice you can get the following sentence ל בלב (Lomed B'Lev") or in English, "Learn with your heart".

Another interesting point is that the "hard no" in Hebrew is Lo (לֹא) and why this becomes even more interesting is that the the letter Alef (א) is not only silent but that many ancient texts start with the first letter of their alphabet.

However, in the case of the Torah, it starts with the second letter of the AlefBet which is the letter Bet which stands for "House" and you build a house with wisdom.

The word Pharaoh actually means "Great House" and the term "House" is still used today by many companies. (see below)

Info on using the AlefBet in meditation can be found here on the () page. Below I have also included the Meru Project link which gives an interesting perspective on the Hebrew AlefBet as well.

*** Meru Project Notes ↟↟

The word "Meru" comes from Vedic teachings about a mythical mountain purportedly approx 50 miles (80Kms) high so in effect, it is a mountain of a mountain. (Jebel mountain)

According to NASA, Olympus Mons (Mars) is approx 25 Kms or 16 miles high. It has a caldera of 50 miles or 80 Kms which is bigger than the area of most large cities.

If you have trouble wrapping your head around the concepts of the Meru Project, may I suggest a book by Michael Drosnin called the Disclaimer, I did read original book Bible-Code v1 - this is the 3rd incarnation of his book and I have not read this Bible-Code III version.

Back To The Subject ↟↟

Please consider that translations are often inaccurate which is usually because words change (or become slang) from one area to another and one era to another - just not as fast as it happens these days with social media.

Even jokes suffer over time. When I lived in Cairo back in 1987, there was a joke that if you were very annoyed with someone you would ask or shout, "when did you come out from under the cow"?

As you can see, some thing do not translate very well, especially as jokes. Just something else to remember.

A Story Within A Story ↟↟

The Ancient Egyptian word Per'ra'ah became the "Coptic" word P'roh which then became transcribed as Pharaoh (פרעֹה) - representing THE Ruler of Egypt "in English" due to its assumed translation of the "Ruler" of Egypt, but in reality, the "name" Paro (Pharaoh) actually means "Great House" which is what Pharaoh represented and also where the ruler lived.

Not all Pharaohs were men BTW.

You may also like to note that the "marble and alabaster" palatial depictions you see in movies and on TV which purportedly represented the palace of Pharaoh are unrealistic as most were typically made out of mud brick and wood - just like

House also referred (refers) to a line of succession.

Note that the word "House" may also have been associated with - and representative of - your family or clan or even a group, so if you became big and wealthy, you would have been considered a Great House. Especially if you had lots of children or you were in an important position.

In fact, there are many such references to "The House Of"... some examples are.

In ancient Israel, there was the great (opposing) philosophical houses of Hillel (בית הלל) and Shammai (בית שמאי) , and even in politics, in most non dictatorships, you have the "House of Representatives" , in movies you have the 2022 movie "House of the Dragon" , the House of Lords and some businesses also use this title, such as "The House of Estée Lauder " + many others. .

Some of you may have heard of a place called Bethlehem which literally means Bet Lechem or House of Bread.

As you can see, this "expression or title" has survived many thousands of years - but the implication of greatness basically remains the same (in most cases).

However, in Kabbalah, the name Mitzrayim (מִצָּרִים) (biblical Egypt) includes everywhere outside of "Aretz-Israel" (Israel) - and this includes both physical and spiritual.

Representative ↟↟

Another meaning of Mitzrayim refers to avoiding the unholy and negatives within ourselves.

In other words, Aretz-Israel is "representitive" of a holy place where we can "physically" dwell (live) next to The Creator (as in )

Mitzrayim is usually translated as (ancient) Egypt but it may "also" represent an allegorical depiction of the egotistical and physical pleasures that we should avoid if we want to ascend spiritually.

This allegorical depiction implies anything which is outside the "presence" of God.

This is one of the hidden meanings of

When you have come to the land the Lord, your God, is giving you, you shall not learn to do like the abominations of those nations.

First of all, this "mainly" applies to a time when slavery, sexual exploitation of women and children, sacrifices, unsanitary practices and other abominations and the .

This is NOT saying that everyone outside of Israel is an abomination, what it is saying is that there will be certain things these people will do, like offer babies to the deity (Moloch) by fire or any other means - like the OWL ceremonies of sacrificing children. This is classified as an abomination. +

Abominations also happen inside Israel (circa 2025) as per the Sodom Prophecy - (link above). These are the main cause of the problems in Israel today.

Pharaoh ↟↟

The name Paro (Pharaoh) is actually associated with (represents) the ruling elite.

Thus, Pharaoh per se could technically be represented by the Government or if a dictatorship, by the ruler of that dictatorship.

As I hope you can see, you now know why The Creator gave you a massive brain. So that you could learn and become better.

Please email a friend. Top Paleo Hebrew AlefBet - Paleo Hebrew AlefBet

According to wikipedia, the Paleo AlefBet and the Paleo AlefBet are the same.

Some Other Paleo Language Examples ↟↟

Just in case you need to know. :)

This next section is going to be hard for most people to comprehend. Please try.

Why

I have often heard people ask WHY are there Paleo-Hebrew letters if Hebrew is supposed to be from "God".

This is also a question I also had for many years until it was explained to me.

In "biblical" Hebrew, there are words which are complete and words which are not complete.

One example of this is the .

What I am about to share here is not very well known outside Kabbalistic teachings.

The Torah was written down in stages. Kind of like a protracted jigsaw puzzle - except based on life-times + desired outcomes instead of pieces - complicated by a myriad of physical and spiritual interactive variables.

And the most incredible part of this story is that every possible interactive variable for every possible person throughout the entire history of Creation - on every Planet within Creation (including those with any kind of lifeforms and the ), has been calculated.

Think of it like building a Ship, or a Multi-Storey building or a Truck. First you need the blueprints and then you need to build your objective by starting at the beginning,

The reason for this is complicated and I will not go into at this point.

However, I will disclose the following points.

Not Completed ↟↟

Some words and even sentences in Biblical Hebrew are what you would classify as "Not Completed".

Un-fortunately most translators simply fail to see these words as defective - and by defective, I mean that the "mission" for them to be completed is not yet fulfilled. (see cosmic blueprint link)

You can think of it like building a house. You lay the foundations first, then the walls and then the roof and finally you fix the yard outside the house.

Everything must happen in stages - and yes, there is a reason. It is called the

Example 1 ↟↟

The Hebrew word for generation is "Dor". (as is Le'Dor Veh'Dor (לדור ודור) or generation to generation), and we currently live in tne (potential) generation of "Israel" (biblically speaking).

So what do you notice about the grammar?

Interestingly, this "should" say "From Generation To Generation" מדור לדור but it says "To Generation And Generation" which does not imply direct patriarchal or matriarchal continuity (ie: grand-parents, parents, children etc).

Think of it like building a city, it must be done in stages.

I often see the misused word "defective" to describe these (shorter) words where the full destiny of that word is "uncompleted" and this is because the writer does not understand the mystical aspects of the texts they are translating.**

** Consider this, do you honestly think that "The Creator" created a Universe beyond our microscopic comprehension and then did not know how to spell properly?

If you think Yes, then there is no humility in that thought.

** Consider just how insignificant we are in the size and scope of "our" Galaxy - let alone the entire Universe or Universes, multiple dimensions etc - and this does not take into consideration what happens when we die or the existence of other "purported levels". +

Yet many dare to assume that "God" is stupid because there appears to be spelling mistakes?

Incomplete example 1:

Complete example 2:

Complete or Incomplete Part 3: The (noon). There are many speculative reasons for this letter being mirrored in several places. Yet again, it does not make sense unless - again - it is not yet ready to fulfill its designated purpose? Or is it some kind of ?

I have written much more about this "Complete or Incomplete" here on the page.

Another example of Incomplete are the "Books" given to previous generations - for example "Adam".

Book Of Adam ↟↟

Abraham, Isaac and Jacob were all "guided" as well - either physically or spiritually.

Moses was given the Complete Torah (Matan Torah) plus the amended version when the people sinned, and which could only be written down only after "specific" events had occurred - for obvious reasons.

Adam ↟↟

Another example, "Adam" was given a book of his own which is called the (Caveat Emptor: there are other books by this title which have Nothing to do with the original Book Of Adam).

Also, the link above is to a book written in English and not the original language.

This instructed Adam what (he) was supposed to do.

Why do I bracket the word "He"?

Gender Distinction ↟↟

Hebrew

In Hebrew, writing is strictly gender-oriented, with two primary grammatical genders being masculine and feminine that apply to all aspects of speech including nouns, verbs, adjectives, and pronouns.

Almost every word in the language, including inanimate objects, must be classified as either male or female.

There is also the "gior gender"***. 😊

This is where a word like "table" (שולחן) is masculine in the singular but converts (gior) to Feminine (שולחנות) in the plural.

*** I made up the name "Gior Gender" 😊 but the actual conversion of some words is true.

For those who can read Hebrew, I did not use the word להמיר on purpose even though it is more correct.

Sanskrit:

There are 3 genders in Sanskrit: masculine, feminine, and neuter.

The genders of some nouns correspond to their physical (human) gender - for example "man" masculine == पुरुष and "woman" (Strī is feminine) स्त्री while the gender of "most" nouns is arbitrary.

You can learn - online if you like.

  • Nouns ending in -a are never feminine.
  • Nouns ending in -ā, -ī, and -ū are almost always feminine.
  • Nouns made with the -tra and -ana suffixes are usually neuter.

This is probably one of the hardest things to comprehend when you only speak English or other non-binary language.

For example, in English, a Table is a Table is a Table and it has No gender.

It some languages, table is designated as being defined with a masculine, feminine or neutral gender compared to other words in that language.

Curved Ball

Then you sometimes have an item which is (for example) a male gender as a singular item, but changes to feminine when plural.

For example, in Hebrew a single "table" סולחן is a masculine noun, but in the plural form of "tables", it takes the feminine ending, making the word שולחנות (shulcHanot).

Binary - in this instance - means that the language is divided into Male and Female. (+)

This includes languages which utilize Male, Female and Neutral genders as well.

Hebrew example

In Biblical and Modern Hebrew, if you have 1 or 1 million ++ women - or even a planet containing only women - and "no" men, then the gender is female. This means that they word for YOU (plural) is "AteN".

However, if there is even 1 single male, regardless of age among this planet of women, then the gender becomes "male". This means that they word for YOU (plural) become male and is "AteM".

People who get upset about such trivial issues show that they have just reincarnated from a previous life as an animal entity - and are still manifesting their animal soul as the dominant entity - and have yet to grow their intellectual soul to a degree that they can see a bigger picture.

This is why "Beni-Israel" (Sons of Israel) includes women, men, boys and girls and babies. Everyone is commonly referred to as "The Children Of Israel".

In the USA for example, most people will use "He and She" to describe mixed genders - possibly because the word THEY is too confusing to modern student who seek definite identity definition?

This gender distinction is also applicable to Paleo Hebrew, Biblical Hebrew and Modern Hebrew.

This is an important point which often confuses readers of translated texts as it is over looked by some thus causing confusing discrepancies. See 10 C's eg

For Example + the 10 C's

A good example of how texts can be wrongly translated is the . ↟↟

I would like to add 1 correction to this video. He calls the 10 commandments the "Aseret haDavarim" (עֲשֶׂרֶת הַדְּבָרִים) which basically "Davar" means "word," and it also means "thing" - and Davarim is the plural and given in the masculine.

However, (IMO) the 10 Commandments are more commonly referred to as the Aseret Hadibrot עשרת הדברים but this time given in the feminine. Note that "Ha" as a prefix commonly means THE and "DBR" is the same root word as the first example and means the same thing.

So both of these expressions (basically) means • the 10 words or • the 10 sayings.

As you can see, they are not all commandments per se.

Paleo-Hebrew Alphabet ↟↟

Paleo-Hebrew Alphabet

Izbet Sartah Script ↟↟

IzbtSartahAlphabt

The Izbet Sartah "Tablet" contains both modern Hebrew and Paleo-Hebrew.

Q: How do you resolve this?

A: Where this "tablet" () was found was in an area where people spoke and wrote multiple languages such as Ugarit, Moabite, Phoenician, Aramaic and many local dialects in an area which now covers Israel, Lebanon, Syria, Jordan - through to Iraq and perhaps even further.

This information is based on translations of the (mostly written in Akkadian) .

Given the remoteness of some of these towns and villages, it is distinctly possible that Proto-Canaanite, Proto-Hebrew, Proto-Phoenician and other Proto-Languages may also have been still in use. Proto-Hebrew was part of the languages stemming from Akkadian.

Remember that there was no "collective" homogeneous language and school structures like you see today.

My uncle came from Holland and I remember him telling me that before WWI - most towns and many villages had their own dialects - and that was in a small country like Holland (Netherlands).

Remember that even in the US of A before the 1900's in rural and poor areas, illiterate people could be (and were) contractually bound by putting the letter X where their should go.

Conversant ↟↟

People would have had to be conversant in multiple languages if they wanted to do business.

My point here is that just because "modern" Hebrew became a "thing" does not necessitate the fact that Paleo-Hebrew or other Paleo "trade" languages suddenly changed "over night" or even many hundreds of years later for that fact.

The main problem for people speaking variations of English is that we become lazy because ours is the dominant language world wide so we simply do not bother (generally) to learn another language.

Cantillation Marks ↟↟

If you are studying Hebrew, you may notice small strange looking wiggly things around some of the letters.

These are called Cantillation Marks (Te'amim, טעמים) and are commonly used when singing the Torah (and other reasons beyond this page).

So unless you are fully conversant with Hebrew to start with and have an outstanding knowledge of Hebrew script without the Nikkudot, I suggest that you do not think about these "Cantillation Marks" for now.

However, If you want to learn how to uses these Cantillation Marks, I suggest that you find a qualified "Cantor" (aka: Hazan - חַזָּן) to teach you.

Learn The AlefBet Online ↟↟

The AlefBet comes in "Block Letters" and "Cursive Letters"

This is NOT the same as capital letters and lower case letters in English (as I have seen people suggest).

Almost all writing is done in Block Letters and this includes almost all newspapers and books etc will use "Block" letters including social media and texting.

Conversely (generally speaking), almost all hand written script is done using cursive script.

You can learn (for free) both of the Hebrew Block and Cursive scripts here on YT.
